You will LOVE Castle (and Nathan too of course), its a brilliantly funny show. Well scripted and cast. Hmmmm my favourite episode would have to be "Always buy retail" mainl becaue of Castle's sex scene with his ex wife LOL

I'd have to say that the Pilot is absolutely necessary because like all good pilots, it sets up the premise of the series. It's not the best episode; actually I'd say it was the weakest of the first season (IMO). The second, I believe is Nanny McDead it's a good follow up because it starts to shift the balance between the two main characters. The pilot focused mainly on Castle's quirky personality. As the series progressed the relationship became more equal in tone.

My favorite episode is A Chill Runs Through Her Veins. A very well constructed episode with nice resonance.
