As posted on castle_tv at LiveJournal.

USA Today has an annual Save Our Shows survey.
It's a list of shows in danger of cancelation, and you choose which ones should be saved or dropped.

There are a lot of other shows you might be interested in defending as well, so check it out and vote! There's also a text-box where you can expound on your desire to save the shows. It might help to add a litttle blurble about Castle and why you want to save it.

PLEASE spread the word! Castle's been slipping in the ratings, and we do not want it canceled.

The reason I think rating have slipped is Castle's lead in show is awful!  When the lead in was "Dancing…" the ratings were better.  It is hard to survive SURVIVING SUBURBIA to get to Castle—and I LOVE CASTLE!

From the blog entry NF posted at myspace (thanks, Admin, for sharing that) and some other things I've heard, it sounds like they may be paying at least some attention to this, so do please go vote and make everyone you know go vote.

And I agree, I think Surviving Suburbia is a serious drag on Castle's ratings. (I thought I would hate it when I caught the last 5 minutes the week before. Saw more this week, and had no reason to change my mind.)

The weird thing is… Surviving Suburbia had better ratings than Castle last week! WHAT!?

Yeah, I didn't get that either, but my bet is the Dancing With the Stars lead in helped it quite a bit, but it wouldn't hold the potential Castle audience.

Can we also start sending Rook Chess pieces to the heads of ABC with a note to save our Castle.

It may not be the same as the peanuts for Jericho but it might work.

Good idea. I sent  the powers that be 30 pounds of nuts when they cancelled Jericho the first time and was wondering what fans of Castle would send. I was thinking of a pen or sand- hoping they won't use their poison pen and cancel one of the BEST television shows that's come along in quite awhile.  I like the image of a big old pile of sand sitting in the ABC lot, plus sand it relatively cheap and there are places that will sell it by the ton and deliver it all at once. A ton of sand all at once could be refused but a 5 lb bag couldn't.

I didn't like Surviving Suburbia. I thought it might be funny but it really isn't. The husband and wife seem like they resent each other more than love each other. Not fun TV.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Castle. Which is why the fact that it's possible for it to disappear has left me with a feeling of certain despair. I hopped online to search out this 'lie' that I heard from my family.

I'll admit that I record Castle because I have night classes at college and what not. But that doesn't mean that I don't watch it. And I think that it's terrible that people have to suffer through Bob Saget's poor attempt at humor via a show that I found mildly offensive and certainly NOT funny. I wish Castle had a better lead-in and if that weren't possible, then a better time slot. A LOT of good shows are at an impossible time for some people.

Here's hoping that they listen to those of us that really like Castle. I'll pitch a FIT if it disappears.

Rather than "been there done that" type gimmicks – why not just write a nice (not nasty or negative) letter to ABC telling them how much you love the show?  Emails are good, but actual letters are even better.

Is there an official postal address for the show? I know some of the soap ones, but I don't know about Castle offices.

(Also, any chance the survey link could be on the castletv site? grin )

I would like that address for the Castle show as well.  When I checked the ABC site where they list each ABC show and its' production office address, Castle's was not there!  Made me worry even more………A new night or a new lead in is the answer.  Once a person starts to watch this show, they will be as addicted as we are!  This quality TV has been missing for quite a while!  Heavy drama is overwhleming us—we need this escape with the humor angle and intelligent banter—I love it!

I'm looking into the address, will let you know what I find out.

I personally wouldn't worry about the production office not being on the website. Frankly, I'd be surprised if the ABC website folks were organized enough for that sort of absence to be meaningful <img class=" />

Thanks for that Big Sis.  Does anyone have any idea when the decision will be made?  If we are down to our last few show that means they probably have wrapped up the production/filming part of this series.  The ten episodes are probably completed.  I wonder what our time frame is for action?

My understanding is that the renewal decisions will be made any time between now and mid-May. In terms of the contact window, obviously sooner is better than later smile
