Looks like they have closed and it appears that in celebrity, they have Nathan at #1 but I think that doesn't mean he actually did win..does it?
Richard Castle is at #1 in entertainment with CastleTV at #3
Having the actors(writers) or the supporting fanbased forums like here win at the Shorty's just gives the show more exposure and street cred on Twitter etc = press(hopefully).
ps. hope I put this in the correct place, if not, I'm sure the Admin will move it….

Yeah, it's great exposure which is why I've been bugging people to vote on twitter so often! It's awesome that three twitter accounts related to Castle have made it up in the top lists. The process isn't over yet though. Over the weekend they're running some processes that will weed out the duplicate or invalid votes (this may knock CastleTV out of the running because a lot of people voted more than once). After this has been completed the finalists will be selected and people will be able to vote on those and a team or judges from the Shorty Awards will also have their input – between the public vote and the shorty team vote winners will be decided.

Thanks to everyone who put in a nomination for our twitter and also the writercastle account and of course Nathan!

Another Twitter account holder told me they will post the top 5 in each section on Monday, voting opens again and then closes on Friday. If so, we have to really 'beat the bushes' to get all the Twitter Castle fans placing that important Shorty vote.

That's pretty much what the website says Piratelabs – it's possible castletv will be kicked out of the running once they run their automated process to weed out the other votes, but WriteRCastle should still be there which is the important one

The Shorty Awards ceremony is tonight.  We have three Castle accounts in the finalists.

You can watch the ceremony live on the Shorty Awards website http://shortyawards.com  It starts at 7:30pm Eastern time (that's what… 3:30 Pacific?)

Unfortuantely neither of them can be at the awards (neither could I ) but I have my fingers crossed for them both!
