I am *thinking* that that may well be vintage or custom made. I actually realize I own a vintage version I inherited which is what makes me say that. I'm finding similar coats but I can't find that. Asthetically, it kind looks like something you may find from Chloe or Marc Jacobs… possibly even The Row or Elizabeth & James but I don't think it is actually any of those brands.

I'm posting just to let you know I didn't forget about you. I'm admittedly stumped. I'll keep searching. I love a challenge.

I found this forum on my search for the same shirt and your description helped me find something similar at the Gap & Old Navy:

Went to my local Gap and found the shirt above in the Gap body section.    It's definitely not the quality of the ones she was wearing, but it will do for now!

I hope they don't custom make too many of Stana's clothes. I plan to wear some of them when I get back down after my baby weight comes off.

Season one, episode 4, the red shirt during the call to the prostitute scene

The good folks over at http://fashion.castletv.net have already tracked down one of the jackets Beckett wears in this ep and I believe they're working hard to track down the blue coat

Somerset, thanks for posting the links to the boatneck shirts at The Gap and Old Navy. Those are more in my price range and I'm really curious to see how they look on me. I love Beckett's style of dress so at the back of my mind, as I watch episodes, I'm looking at the clothes she's wearing and making mental notes about what might look good on me.

Thank you.  I was wondering about the shirt as well.  have been rewatching season 1 (in honour of Season 3 renewal) and LOVE that shirt.  Just saw her wearing it in "Home Is Where The Heart Stops" in red.

Well we've heard that she comes from a "good Manhattan family," so she probably comes from some money, and even if that's not true, clothing (and definitely her jackets) seems to be what she splurges on. Nice clothes can be therapeutic, and she probably needs all the comfort she can get with her career.

I can only imagine what lengths Castle will go to in replenishing her wardrobe now that her apartment is in shambles. I betcha she's gonna wind up with some things that even SHE wasn't planning on purchasing until now. lol. It'd be kind of sweet to see him send her shopping with Alexis. I know, it'd likely be a bit out of character, but still…it'd be cute.

I just covered the above stuff in spoiler whatchamacallit just in case, because I know it took me a few days to get to see "Boom", and who knows where people are at with the viewing. Better safe than sorry!

I LOVE some of her clothes so much- I really, really want the shirt from "A Rose For Everafter"- the white one. SO pretty. And the cut was flattering. But then again…everything is flattering to Stana!

Beckett's clothing choices are definitely evolving over the life of the show.  I do find the way they were pitching her in the first short season a little odd when it comes up against her wearing the periwinkle Herve Leger to the book launch party in S2.  Especially since she modelled when she was 17.  Maybe interest in or dress sense was something that was abandoned for a time after her mother's death
