Hi Everyone,

I wrote a poem about Castle and thought it turned out pretty well, so I thought I'd post it here. I sent it to Stana too, via e-mail. ~Emily~

Castle

With Montgomery and his team, justice is always served.
Criminals try to evade them, but their efforts end up swerved.
This Captain and his squad are the 12th Precinct,
And among the detectives is one with a taste for cases distinct;
Tall and stunning, soft but strong, this girl leads the way.
With a case deemed “out-of-the-box,” Kate Beckett has her day.
Wounded inside by a murder gone unsolved,
She is driven every time to find those involved.
At her side is a man who initially caused hassle,
But over time has begun to win her over- he is Richard Castle.
Ruggedly handsome, full of charm, a famous mystery writer;
A devoted son, a doting father and, in his own mind, a crime fighter.
He gets in the way, she corrects; he walks into danger, she protects.
Whenever they’re together, he’s always stealing looks.
He shadows her on cases; she’s the muse in his books.
From penthouses to mobsters to dark, empty alleys,
They chase down suspects and figure out their tallies.
Although Rick is child-like in many ways,
His insight has helped to solve many a case.
A huge crush he has on Kate;
He plays up his charm, hoping she’ll take the bait.
But she always holds back, she couldn’t be with him.
Still she’s softening up toward Rick, at times even playing off his whim.
So will they ever get together? Ever let their feelings come unmasked?
Espisito, Ryan and Lanie observe them. What would they say if we asked?
Will they kiss? Will they catch the killer? So many questions have we.
But as with every continuing story, we’ll see…

I love it!!

"A devoted son, a doting father and, in his own mind, a crime fighter" is my FAVOURITE line. When I read it I burst out laughing, my mother even asked me what was so funny! She loved it too. Great job!
