It won't open in ImageReady and when I try to just play it in Quicktime all I get is audio.

Oh, would you?!  Yes, I CAN edit a pre-made .gif.  I've made several of my animated icons that way.  :D

The part I'm looking for is the very very last shot, when he's reacting to the idea of Oxford.  I just love that bit!

Where do you get your screen caps? Or do you make them yourself? Every time I try to do it, they always come out blurry :/

I would do that too, itsmyworld, but I am too broke to even buy episodes on iTunes.  (I've been out of a job for the last six months.  Yikes, right?)

Honestly… I just take screen shots while re-watching the episodes on Hulu.  (Expanded to full screen, of course.)  Then paste them into Photoshop and edit away.  Gotta be pretty quick to get the shots I want, but sometimes missing will get me happy little accidents. ;)  Now if only there were a way to download Hulu videos I could make my own .gifs too, but well… that's not the proper way to go about things, I know.

If I could get the episodes, I would even be trying my hand at fanvids.  I had a couple of ideas last night while drifting off, that I would like to see if I could pull off.  Ah well.  Maybe someone will get me an iTunes giftcard for Christmas.

Green, this avatars and animations are great! I don't know if it was you that make the animated of Beckett's expression in "Heat Wave" or not, but I'm going to save it. Personally I was going to make my own, but since its here already, I'll take it!

I'm so sad I've been so neglectful of this thread! You guys know how it is. College sucks . Final exams are next week, but after that I should have waaaay more free time for making icons :)

I made both the icons you're talking about, molly_littlecastle, and go ahead and use it with pride

If you have a particular scene in mind, I don't have any problem making you an animated icon. I just don't have the time for a full on episode batch ;)

Oh i know the feeling about college. I have two more exams and I'm done, hopefully by Friday.

i don't care what scene you do, but could you try to do an animation with words when Alexis is describing her model friend to her father?

I love that scene. That episode was 2x03 "inventing the girl".

The text could go with the lines, like this. Or, it could just be constantly in the frame, like this. It could be at the end, like this. Or, it could be totally textless, like this!

Yea I like the first example you linked. Just put it on regular speed, i hate speed up avatars. i like it in real time. :)

I guess I want the whole clip, with no sound (obviously) and text per their expression/scene.

Its somewhat like avatar that has beckett saying "shut the front door" or like the first example you gave me.
