Nikki in Heat was down and out in a cheap roach motel. She was strung out on crack. Nothing new. Making a living on the streets was tough. All work and no pay. Like all fairy tales she had an evil step mother. Witch married a rich man that passed away. Her step sisters where kind and cruel. She dreamed of far away places and easy times. Where was her prince charming and Castle? There was a rap on the door. It was well past midnight. She went to door and opened it……….

Interesting.
But why would Niki heat be taking drugs? Isn't she suppose to be the type of character who wouldn't be tempted by drug?

“Poker is a tough way to make an easy living” snorted the dealer. “Here comes the river” this is where dreams came and went thought Nikki. “Not tonight” she said. Lady Luck was not going to be a whore. “Raise $500.00″ a quick wink and a smile took out the player across from her. “Heat baby Heat, your not fooling anyone.” She smirked “Care to find out?” “The only raise your getting is between my legs” chuckled the dealer. “How cute” laughing away, knowing she was being man handled with.Then nothing but silence, the calm before the storm. “How about $10,000 Heat?” “I'm out.” “Fold.” “Me to.”

Didn't he say, when Beckett said (re her past), "Now you have your backstory" that he still rather liked his original backstory of Nikki being a drug-addicted stripper? Or did I imagine that?

You could be right. I'm probably the only person around without a DVR, so I have to wait for the DVDs to come out before I can check that sort of thing
(I'm not sure why we're resiting getting one. Certainly isn't *my* idea to hold off
