OfflineJust got this tweet an good interview of AM enjoy it.

part of interview:
Did you get the reaction you hoped you’d get from the last new episode, “Knockdown”?
Andrew Marlowe: Yeah. I was very pleased to see the audience’s reaction. And you know, the thing I was most worried about was the kiss. I knew that there were going to be some fans who reacted to the fact that it was a decoy kiss and there are a lot of shippers out there — the relationshippers online who are really rooting for Castle and Beckett to get together — but I want to make sure their relationship develops in the right way. And I think the majority of the fans reacted really well, recognizing that it started out as one thing and ended up as another, so they were able to get what they were looking for without me having to accelerate the Castle-Beckett relationship too quickly.

OfflineLove the interview, and love that Andrew Marlowe seems to just get it. What we want, how to do it the proper way, everything.

Offline"I believe there’s storytelling on the other side of it, you know? That
when people are in a relationship it can be just as difficult, it can be
just as complex, there can be just as much banter and there can be just
as much rooting for people."
Well, it's nice to see him say that. Whether it's true or not, it gives me hope that he thinks they can get them together and still have good storytelling after that.
Also, I just find it funny/frustrating that they keep saying Beckett is a cards-to-the-chest kind of girl, who doesn't want to risk it with Castle before she knows she can trust him. Yet she's pretty quick to get together with Demming, Josh, etc.

I have to believe it's because Beckett already has a much more important and true relationship with Castle than she did/does with the other guys. She can lose Demming and Josh and be just fine, but we've seen from the premiere that the same cannot be said about Castle.

Well, Demming and Josh don't have a reputation as playboys with two failed marriages working against them.

I think you're right. I don't think that either Demming or Josh have inspired the deep feelings that she has for Castle. So…if it doesn't work out, it's OK, because her heart wasn't really touched. That's my impression.

OfflineAnother great and interesting interview with AM…very consistent with what he had to say after Knockdown. It's lovely to read his reflections on the characters and see that so much of what is discussed on this board and others in terms of the meanings of looks and the interpretation of subtext between Castle and Beckett is just what he intended to convey. It's wonderful to have him acknowledge the storytelling possibilities after a relationship starts, but to also recognize that many fans want to savor the fun of the journey in all its little steps. It's funny, though that he says a couple times in the interview "a little bit to go" or a "little more storytelling" with regard to the Castle and Beckett getting to a romantic relationship, but then speaks of " a lot of storytelling to get there" at the end (and references not getting to a 7 year timeframe); regardless, I am certainly enjoying the journey and look forward to the "crossroads" for Beckett, Castle's A game, and the the plan to rachet up the stakes as they move toward the end of the season.

OfflineThis is a really good interview. The second in a row that actually gives me more cause for optimism than pessimism.
It's great to hear him state outright that he sees a lot of storytelling that can be done after they're together. And he finally comes out and says he doesn't believe in the Moonlighting Curse. Previously, he's always hedged his bets and been a bit vague, though the impression has always been that he thought it was an example of how things shouldn't be done, rather than why they shouldn't be.
I would hope that the bit about Beckett reaching a crossroads in her relationship with Josh does indeed mean that it ends in the two parter. It would seem to, given that a crossroads is normally where a decision has to be made. She can't make that decision, and then string him along for another few episodes.
Castle's A game has been quite obvious over the last few episodes, I think. He's not even doing it consciously, which makes it even better. He's just being the guy that we know he can be, being there for Beckett in whatever capacity she needs, and giving her no reasons at all to doubt him or his constancy.

OfflineWow, finally! This last part about the potentials in storytelling after they are in a relationship and clarifying hos POV about the Moonlighting curse have really made my day. I agree with Yossarian: up till now when this was mentioned it was either referenced as an example or something what they are "aware of", but it was never clear what he thinks the mistake there? These two points were something what I missed and disliked very much in his latest long interview in January. I will be happy with the small steps, until those are leading somewhere and not walking around in a circle and it seems they are going to take the show on this way.
I think if C/B reach the stage at the end of this season where they mutually admit that they want and willing to give a chance to this relationship, it will take minimum one, probably two full seasons until they will be in the dating phase, at least this is what I hope. If they would let them together completely now that would mean a break very soon, it both a scripting necessity and a real world reality, they are too different yet. I assume they will fight with each other on the rules, on how much they are willing to sacrifice or surrender to the other one from themselves, they will be in an exclusive but not yet firmly established relationship. (I'm not talking about sex. I hope that they will make this step very soon after they start – postponing this would be very forced knowing their background.) So probably at the end of the 5th season they can get to the point where they could even move together with or without marriage. If the case of her mother will be solved by that time (I think it will be) then probably some reboot of the base story concept will be necessary after it as both of their personal life and her professional motivation will significantly change.
