I hope this isn't old news…

a very short interview with Stana http://tvmag.lefigaro.fr/progr…..html#photo

and one short one with Nathan that is really cute. I didn't know that he had cats. http://tvmag.lefigaro.fr/progr…..onfie.html

They are not very exciting but I thought I'd post it anyway. Oh, and it's in French :P

Ah.  I was hoping it would be in German–I can still read a bit of German, though it's been a long while since I took it in university.

Did Nathan elaborate about the cats or just mention them?  Inquiring, cat-loving minds want to know! Laugh

Actually, these are quite good interviews.  In the first one they talk more openly about their relationship as actors than other interviews.

The one with Nathan alone seems old.

He just mentioned the cats.

And if I ever find a German interview with one of them, I`ll post it. Smile But I cannot remember ever having seen one… Can somebody else?

no, I've never seen one in a German magazine, too. But we don't have any kind of TV guide so I wouldn't know.

Toronto, I liked the Nathan interview a lot, too. I don't think it's an old interview, France still hasn't finished season 3 that's why he's talking about 3x24. And they got Stana's age wrong, she's 33, not 34 :P

FloralBonnett: roughly translated he says something like this:

"Qui est le vrai Nathan Fillion ?
J'aime passer du temps chez moi, seul, avec mes chats. Je suis très casanier. J'adore aussi être au grand air pour nager ou marcher. Je suis très proche de ma famille et de mes amis. Je suis probablement la personne la plus chanceuse que vous connaissiez."

Who ist the true Nathan Fillion?

I like to spend my time at home, alone, with my cats. I'm very homely/domestic. I also love to be outside to go for a walk or to go swimming. I'm very close to my familiy and friends. I'm probably the most happy person you know.

He also says that he wrote a script for a pilot once and tried to sell it but decided it's not his kind of thing. Too much stress and responsibility wink And he says something interesting about the show. He repeats that he doesn't want Castle and Beckett in a relationship before the show ends. And then he says:

"Je n'aimerais pas faire la saison de trop et que la série régresse. Les fictions britanniques ne durent qu'une saison, voire deux, ce qui ne les empêche pas d'être brillantes et très appréciées du public. Il y a une leçon à tirer de cela. J'aimerais pour Castle une fin forte et heureuse, avec tous les personnages réunis. Je ne veux pas donner l'occasion au public de se lasser."

I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, but he seems to be afraid that the show will eventually get cancelled due to bad ratings and rathers wants it to end with a strong and happy end before viewers have a chance to get tired of it. He seems to be really afraid of that and I guess that's why he's so opposed to the idea of Caskett becoming an item. I'm with him, by the way. Team Nathan wink

What I don't understand is the part about "les fictions britanniques". What's that supposed to be?? British TV shows? Do I know British tv shows… yeah, "Sherlock", but that doesn't count. He's saying that those shows only run for one or two seasons and are still brilliant and greatly appreciated by the audience.

He is saying that most british tv shows only have one or two seasons, so no time to decrease in quality … and they are greatly appreciated by the fans/people.

He actually wants Castle to have a good end, a great last season, not like other shows that have one too many season and so the last one isn't that great. He doesn't want the shows to decrease in quality over the years just for the sake of keeping it going on, and also doesn't want the fans, people to lose interest just because of that. That's when he compares with british tv shows that don't have to have so many seasons to still be appreciated.

Thanks a lot, mayhem! I had some problems with that part, too, but that`s basically what I thought. Smile

As for that part (Caskett getting together before the end of the show, Nathan being against it): I`m on Team Stana… Laugh

Not to worry. You made it very clear. And I'm in agreement with his sentiment that it is better to go out near the top than to stretch things out too long and lose it on the backside.

I like it when the storyline "brings us in for a landing" emotionally, rather than just stopping, or running out of ideas. I don't know what AWM has in mind for the apex, and I would hope it isn't just thee moment Rick & Kate "tie the knot", but I would wish that we get to unwind just a little bit before the end. I liked moments like this at the end of Babylon 5, Return of the King, and First Knight.

No need to apologize for your English – it is very good.

Thanks for the translation!

I have mixed feelings about them becoming an item only at the end of the show–Nathan seems to be very afraid of the "Moonlighting Curse".  I guess I see Andrew Marlowe orchestrating something very different.

I really enjoy watching the usa network show "Covert Affairs".  Yeah the lead is fun, but it is the interplay between married  couple Arthur and Joan (CIA operatives working together) that I really love.  It's smart, funny and real–how I would expect AM to write Rick and Kate as a married couple.

I will go on record and say I am not someone who wants to see "little Castle babies".  Too many shows have already done that–most recently Bones.  I couldsee them doing something like adopting a 7-10 yo boy.  I honestly don't think Alexis could handle baby siblings.    My older daughter is her age–ew, she wasn't even happy when we gave her a baby sibling when she was 11 years old.  Undecided

I have seen some British TV shows that were only a couple of seasons, but many more like Foyle's War, Inspector Lewis and Spooks that went 5, 6 seasons and more.  I think a big difference is that most British TV shows are only 4-10 episodes for each season.

Please, Is it possible to translate the part of the first one where they talk more openly about their relationship as actors?
