Not too happy about the "unconsumated tease" part- perhaps they're talking about a marriage between Castle and Beckett, or an actual "doing it" scene between the two- because we all know they kiss in an upcoming episode. I certainly hope that's what they're talking about.

 

The Lanie/Esposito part however- sounds fun. Although I'm not too much into the whole "doing it" scenes, I'm looking forward to seeing their romance play out. I'm also eager to see how they reveal it.

I think that is William Keck's perspective.  I don't think he got "with Castle and Beckett's unconsummated tease expected to stretch out for several seasons" from the producers.

I wouldn't take the "several seasons" reference too seriously either.  First, "several" could mean anything from 4 to infinity.  Second, Leftfield has a point – the writer can only talk about what he found out from Jon and the entire cast has said they often have no idea what is going to happen in an episode until the minute they are handed the script. 

I agree – Nathan and Stana teasing Jon and Tamala, while hard for Jon and Tamala, has got to be cute.  I wonder if whipped cream has been used, since Lanie said she's open to the "whipped cream bikini."

I would imagine that the time frame of "when it's going to happen" is an extremely closely guarded secret, need to know basis. 

At the rate this relationship is being pushed forward, I would be amazed if Castle and Beckett are not together, by, say the end of season 4.   We've seen pretty consistent forward motion, and I expect it will continue.  When you look at all the negative back-lash going on with Bone's (and I really do think that Bones missed it's moment), and the awareness that the TPTB on Castle have expressed about what is going on with Bones.  Couple that with the stated desire not to go into "brother-sister" territory. And  the examples of shows that are making the relationship work (I'm thinking of Chuck, in particular).  No-way are we going to be sitting here in season 6, like those poor Bones fans, hoping that a relationship is still in the plot line.  Not gonna happen.

I wouldn't worry.  Andrew Marlowe has stated over and over that the main focus of the show is the relationship between Castle and Beckett.  I see the relationship between Lanie and Esposito as more of a "B" romance.  And the show could use an established romantic relationship.  You know when these little blurbs are written up, they write them for maximum impact, and what has more impact than a little controversy.  They can can be very misleading.  I take them with a very, very big grain of salt.

When I really want to know whats really going on, I listen to Andrew Marlowe.  And from everything that he has said, both in the past, and most recently, I'm feeling pretty confident in what's in store for out DD.

It doesn't sound to me that the show is going to loose any focus from it's bread and butter, Beckett and Castle.  And I really don't see the Beckett and Castle relationship mouldering on for season after season, after season.  If that were the case, I'd think that they would be in more of a holding pattern instead of the slow steady build up that we are seeing.

I'm asking because the press release from ABC about this episode indicated that a secret relationship between Esposito and Lanie was gong to be reveled, and I assumed that that meant to the other characters.  And from a Tamala Jones interview she kinda indicated that they were going to be "caught in the act".  So caught by who, if it's suppose to only be reveled to the audience?

Which is it, I wonder?

well, the article said that the relationship was going to be revealed ONLY to the audience and that eventually the characters on the show would find out. However, things may change so I wouldn't take what the article says tooo literally.
