OnlineFound this, comparing Castle with Bones. IMO, it's a bit harsh, but at the same time, I'm kinda agreeing with it. Spoilers, but only if you haven't see 3.09 yet.

OfflineInteresting. Thanks for the link Leftfield. I watch both shows (Bones with considerably less interest), and while I agree with the general premise of the article, it is a bit unfair to compare the two shows as one of the commenters mentioned. Season 3 (with a short first season) and Season 6 are quite different situations. But I will say that I hope the will they/won't they is not still going on in Castle in season 6…complications fine, but not the endless UST.

ST is perfectly fine with me though
But, it can't be unresolved =)

OfflineBones lost me a long time ago. The few episodes I have watched of the new season were dismal. Bones is even more clueless than when the series first started! I don't understand how that could be considered growth.
It makes me sad because at one time Bones was my Castle.

It is a little unfair. But, I just watched a Bones episode, after I had stopped watching it a while back. And, I just found it very uninteresting. For me, Bones lost its spark somewhere during season 4.
Yep, season one really picked up steam down the stretch, Season 2,3 and the beginning of 4 were great but since then they have basically done rediculous things with both Booth and Bennen's characters to keep them apart. I thought they might redeame themselves a bit in that 100th episode but instead they make Booth for the first time ever just agree with Bones and let it go. This was such a rediculous assacination of his character. He knows her better than anyone and would of course know that she was saying she didn't feel that she was good enough for him. Booth would have told her that he didn't want her to change that the reason he loves her is because she is who she is. Then he would have said that she loves him so them not getting togetehr was just going to hurt them both in the long run. "Just trust me Bones!" He'd have fought for it. Sorry aout the rant.

OnlineHaving watched a few episodes of Bones (most recently a rewatch of "The X in the Files"), I found the Dr. Brennan character uninteresting and unrealistically geeky. To me, both Castle and Beckett have far more charm. I could see them as friends.
Then there are the supporting characters – what can I say? Esposito, Ryan, Alexis, Martha, Lanie, Perlmutter, Capt. Montgomery bring far more variety while the other show's secondary cast seem more like kids trying to be serious – not an adult among them.

One thing (of lots) I do like about Castle is mentioned in this article – the supporting cast actually help drive the plot. They aren't just there as an after thought or to give audiences someone different to look at. And they provide their own comic relief aside from Castle and Beckett.
