Thank you for those links hrhighness…both interesting articles.  I personally think that the network and cable shows should be in separate categories…they just have such different constructs under which they operate that it seems unfair to compare.  I was hoping that Stana would get nominated this year for the same reason mentioned in conjunction with Hargitay's win for SVU years ago.  AM's comments were interesting as well in terms of the networks not being too motivated to sumbit for Emmy consideration when shows are performing well. 

Thanks for that new link hrhighness.  In reference to the question that was answered in talking about a suggested split of comedy into sitcom and dramedy, I don't agree with their decision that one category can be all-encompassing.  Castle and Raising Hope don't have enough in common to be compared.  But it seems all of the dramedies tend to be classified as Drama anyway, although that certainly is not a good fit either.  Especially with Castle, which has some episodes that are pure drama (Knockout), some episodes that are mostly comedy (Nikki Heat), and some that are a perfect balance of the two.  There are so many other shows like that…Bones, Leverage, Glee, etc… that I have no idea why those type of 1-hour shows do not have their own category.
