well if you read the tv guide article it say THEY WILL!

I think it was ACF who thought that it would be good if "the first time" for C & B was like in the Firefly episode "Heart of Gold". I agree that it would be very romantic, but with the chemistry and pent up feelings for each other that these two have that when it happens that it will be "by accident" – neither one intending for it to happen, but when circumstances and nature takes its course, it will be pretty uncontrollable. 

But that's jumping the gun (not the shark).

They first have to become a couple – or at least admit to one another that they like each other more than; just work partners, work wife (you're already judgmental), work husband (Castle hold my purse), plucky sidekicks or just friends. Beckett was close to admitting it in GAME (we think, but do NOT know what she was going to say) and Castle has NEVER come close to saying it to Beckett. In SETUP when they were being released from contaminant he wanted the hazmat guy to go away, BUT was he going to tell Beckett his feelings. I don't know / I don't think so. He might have be wanting to say that he "meets the minimum Beckett relationship requirements" as she was outlining them to him regarding  …aaah… Josh (if Castle can call him by his first name, so can I). At the end of COUNTDOWN after Fallon, DHS left them Castle was going to say something, but my guess is that he was not going to profess his feelings for her. 

I think that at this point Castle is the one that "has to go first", to put his feelings out there, on the line. I don't think Beckett will (or can). She maybe was going too but got burned (no fault being laid at either Castle's or Beckett's feet on this one – they both screwed up!) and it will take a huge event to make her "go first" with Castle again (like some peoples fantasies – Castle getting shot), which I do not see happening. 

Keep on 'shipping – it's a When, not an If.

I love those emoticons 19ana89! I cross my fingers too for it to happen in season 4. I think it would be perfect timing. Season 3 would be too early, season 5 too late. S4 is the best choice, IMO.
