30s style boxing does imply 'giving it all you got' so they'll probably lose themselves for a bit. I'd still caution people about getting overexcited, especially since there's no mention of the aftermath.

I'm just happy that it does not sound like it's contrived or coerced, and it sounds like it's probably not for cover at the stakeout.  So…I'm really happy about that.  But you're right, it's probably not terrible smart to get too excited.  Hard not to, though.  I think that there will be major fallout as a result of this, which, IMO, is good, we need something to shake things up.  Hopefully this is it?

This is most likely Castle's big 'wake up call.' I get the vibe that Beckett's won't be for a while.

All of what you say is true. I love that its a real, genuine kiss. However, I think the fall out will be from Becketts conflicted feelings in that she'll feel guilty about Josh, but more importantly, she'll wonder what the kiss meant to Castle. Weather he did it in the heat of the moment or he really wanted it, (im going with option 2) Also, I think that this will be a wake up call for both of them, however, it may take Beckett a tad longer but nonetheless, she will get there by the end of the season. (hopefully)

I agree. I just don't want another Demming situation with Castle pining. It seems like they could be setting up a reverse Demming where Castle gives up the safe relationship for the risk and gets burned for it. I'm hoping not. I'd like to see both being emotionally affected up until they finally talk it out, not one trying to talk to the other just to be shut down.

I completly agree!! If the writers learned anything from last season and with the way things are going…..I don't think thats what were going to get. And yes, I would love for them to be emotionally affected and them actually sit down and talk about it, that would be nice to see.

I like what he says. It's hard not to get excited. There's surely a lot more work to be done afterwards but it's movement finally.

Stana talked a lot about Castle having to make the move this time since her attempt didn't work out so well. Maybe this is it?

I'm just so glad that they are shaking things up that I'm prepared to deal with a fallout that is a bit angsty.  At least it will occur midseason with plenty of time to clean things up and no 4 month break to follow!  I would think/I hope that we'll see something different from the Demming arc this time.  Hopefully Castle fights for Kate this time and it makes an impression.

I also would like to see this handled with an open, honest discussion at some point…one like the discussion between Rook and Heat in Naked Heat in which Rook proves he really understands what Heat is going through.

So happy it sounds like a bona fide kiss…this means a lot coming from Nathan given his hesitation about moving on the will they/won't they.  Wow…wait for a kiss and you might get a make-out session!

On a side note (thanks for the link Leftfield), I loved Nathan's discussion of the Disney animated films.  If Nathan thinks Tangled is cool, I guess I can admit i've seen it twice and would go again.  He's right, the non-speaking animals are brilliant; what he didn't mention is that Flynn Rider is hot (for an animated character of course Smile).

So hard to not get even more excited for this.  Ah what the heck.  OMG!

The fallout will be what it will be, but I'm sure Beckett will come around.  It's what she wants.

That is a great point about this happening Mid season as to have enough time to "deal with everything". That just put my mind at ease. I would also love to seee them genuinely talk about it without getting shut down and for them to both finally admit that they like eachother already!! oh January, why are you so far away?

I read this story at work and squeed again.  A full-blown make-out session implies, at least to me, that Beckett may be taken by surprise initially, but at some point gets into it as much as Castle.  Wahoo!

My excitement, though, is tempered by the fact that she will probably feel guilty about kissing Castle regardless of who breaks up with who, and backs off.  My bet is that they have this kiss, one of them breaks up with their SO (I'm thinking Castle dumps Gina), and the one still in a relationship spends the rest of the season trying to figure out who they want to be with.  And if Castle does dump Gina, I hope he fights for Beckett after this kiss, like someone else said, rather than sitting and stewing like he did when Beckett was with Demming.

Totally looking forward to this and the resulting aftermath!   Bounce2

I've been thinking, and I don't even know if this the best place to put this  When we talk about Castle in conjunction with Josh, the consensis seems to be that we all want Castle to find his man card and fight for Beckett this time around, as opposed to giving up the field to Josh as he did with Demming.  And I wholeheartedly agree.  I've also see a lot of discussion regarding Josh's potential response to the realization that Kate is in love with Castle, if, of course, he makes that realization.  The consensus to this scenario for the most part, seems to be the Josh will somehow bow out of the picture, either with grace or without.  But……and forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that this has been discussed, what if Josh decides to really pull out all the stops and fight for Kate?  Could be interesting, Castle and Josh going mano e mono.  This might explain the fact that it seems that Josh is going to be around a bit longer that Gina, if that is indeed the case?
