Oh I don't think there will be any fighting once Beckett knows that Castle really wants her. The real fight will be with Beckett only and that's about whether to take the risk or stay with the safe guy.

I've been thinking, and I don't even know if this the best place to put this  When we talk about Castle in conjunction with Josh, the consensis seems to be that we all want Castle to find his man card and fight for Beckett this time around, as opposed to giving up the field to Josh as he did with Demming.  And I wholeheartedly agree.  I've also see a lot of discussion regarding Josh's potential response to the realization that Kate is in love with Castle, if, of course, he makes that realization.  The consensus to this scenario for the most part, seems to be the Josh will somehow bow out of the picture, either with grace or without.  But……and forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that this has been discussed, what if Josh decides to really pull out all the stops and fight for Kate?  Could be interesting, Castle and Josh going mano e mono.  This might explain the fact that it seems that Josh is going to be around a bit longer that Gina, if that is indeed the case?

That is a very interesting point. I never really thought of the possiblilty of Josh fighting for Beckett. However, I feel that Josh somehow knows how Kate feels about Castle and while he might fight a little bit, I think deep down he knows he's going to loose to Castle because of the way he said "Oh, your that writer?" when they first met. Like, he knows their history and their connection and all that. Also, after the kiss, Kate could become more distant from him and Josh will most likely think something is up and I think with the spoilers given by Victor Webster with saying that with the intro of his character, castle and Beckett will realize that they want to be together and whatever. 

 

I can totally picture a scene with Josh finally coming to the realization of Kates feelings for Castle and her and him talking and she feeling guilty but Josh saying "I just want you to be happy and if he makes you happy, then who am I to stand in the way" Which basically shows that he cares enough about her to let her go. Which I think would show what a good guy he is, but he's just not the right person for kate. And if you switch some things around, I can picture the same sort of sencerio with Castle and Gina.

 

With this, they can show the auidence that they were worthy relationships but they just weren't quite right for them.

Hand and Monkey – LOL. Kind of like in season 1, Ghosts where Castle and Beckett have the "running poker game" where each throws their hand in deference to the other. But at the end Castle says: "mano y mujer" — Hand and Woman, not mano y mano — hand and hand or hombre y mujer – Man and Woman. Probably should have an "a" (to) rather than a "y" (and) in-between the words (mano a mano).

Oh he better fight, especially since it looks like Beckett responds to him positively.   I hated Castle stepping aside in Season 2 and then feeling sorry for himself while he watched Demming and Beckett.

That's a good point, Leftfield.  I'd love to see Castle put up a fight either way and I can't say I know enough about Josh to guess at whether he'd fight back or step aside gracefully.  I keep thinking about what Andrew Marlowe said about how Castle & Beckett would be in worthy relationships this year, but not with the right people.  Based on that, I'd like to think he'd realize that Castle is who Beckett wants. 

One thing I'd like to see (although, I'll admit, its a little mean) is Josh/Gina breaking up with Beckett/Castle instead of the other way around- but not because they thought it wouldn't work. For me to "like" them dumping Castle/Beckett, they should mention that their feelings for the other was obvious and it would be better for both if they broke up (maybe provide a little push as well). 

 

Besides, I'm sensing a break up really soon. If a couple breaks up before the kiss, then I think it will be Castle and Gina. But if there is no breakup before the kiss, then I'm suspecting Beckett and Josh will break up first (followed by Castle and Gina). This is because I don't think Beckett could live with kissing someone else (and from what they've said, it doesn't seem to be for undercover purposes) and then going back to Josh. Although I think that Castle couldn't live with that either (he doesn't seem like the cheating type- Meredith), I think he's still going to wait a little longer simply because it would provide us a chance to see Beckett in Castle's situation at the end of Season 2.

I agree. My view is that having C/B break off their respective relationship(s) would seem to be selfish. I would lose respect for the characters. It would be better to have the SOs to get tired of seeing the obvious chemistry from the outside and be the ones to break it off.
