I pretty much agree with their top 10, apart from Vampire Weekend in n°3. Even if I loved the ep, it wouldn't be in my top 10.

While I saw the pictures of When The Bough Breaks, there came a question to my mind: What happended to Paula?  Was she replaced by Gina as Castles publisher? And of course Knockdown deserves No. 1[Image Can Not Be Found]

I would almost agree with this list, too, but I would definitely replace Vampire Weekend with Nikki Heat. One of my favourite episodes eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever

Good question. I often wondered about Paula. I kinda liked her.

Paula was his agent (may still be) whereas Gina is his publisher. 
I'm not versed enough in the literary world to understand the different
roles, though.

It was her last appearance in this episode, wasn't it? And another question, who will publish HEAT RISES now after Gina is gone? Maybe Paula will come back? That would be nice because I liked her too.

The agent finds the publisher for books if there isn't already a contract between the writer and a publishing house; negotiates the contract; and often deals with publicity on behalf of the writer.  (Like an agent for a sports celebrity or actor.) Paula with or without a public relations firm, would have the job of getting his name in the paper (or keeping a scandal out of the paper as the case may be) in between book promotions.

The publisher used to do the editing of the book (meaning cleaning up grammar, tightening plot etc.) but less so now. The publisher also prints the book; markets it; distributes it directly or through distribution company and deals with publicity for the books it publishes. Gina was described as his publisher at Black Pawn – which likely means she was the executive at the company responsible for him – she may or may not also be his editor.  

There's a certain amount of overlap – particularly on publicity – and both the agent and publisher are likely to be involved on organizing and promoting book tours etc.

Gina was his publisher before they married and stayed his publisher after they divorced.  I doubt she's gone anywhere or that that relationship has changed, just because they've broken up again.  If divorce didn't do it, a break up wouldn't.  He has a contract with Black Pawn for at least two more Nikki Heat books (he contracted for three more at the end of When the Bough Breaks, but Naked Heat is done). So he's contractually obliged to write two more for them to publish – and either party could get out of this but only if the other agreed – which would cost $$$$.  

Great list!  I actually agree with the inclusion of Vampire Weekend, to me that episode had a lot of the essential Castle qualities all around that I love.

Great list.  I may include vampire weekend in the list but not as high as No. 3,  and of course hands down to the No. 1 "Knockdown"[Image Can Not Be Found]
