Oh yeah, that's right! I've had this discussion on Twitter before. I was hardcore X Files fan and since then, Beckett & Castle are the only two who have been able to fill that void for me. They're smart and sexy and have great banter, and though it mostly remains unspoken, there is a true love there, they'll be the first to pull each others pigtails but they'd also risk their life for the other one in a second.

I just hope that they don't drag it out for 7 years before the characters admit the depth of their relationship. It took so long for Mulder & Scully to get serious, then they had a kid, and David Duchovny left the show so the relationship was never as fulfilling as it could have been. Stories were still great though, until season 9. When you actually name an episode "Jump The Shark", you know it's over.

I can only wish that Castle will have as many years of great stories and great relationships as X Files did.
