ABC's "Castle" is the most delightful TV series. I'm curious about leads Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.

Sandra Martin, Hayward, Calif.

It's the chemistry between Fillion, 38, a TV and movie vet, and Katic, 31, a relative unknown, that makes "Castle" so delightful. And she tells us it's owed to clever writing and her co-star's charm: "He makes it easy to bounce things back and forth." Chemistry leads to questions about putting the characters together; Katic, who's single, can see both sides, "but, I wonder, why is there this myth that once people get together, there isn't play anymore? … People are married and still have wonderful relationships."

Stana just solidified my girl-crush on her. lol I have been saying  that very thing (re: play continues once you're a couple) for months.

I really look forward to seeing Beckett's awkwardness when they do start dating. How she'll balance it with work and all of that will absolutely be fun to watch. I really think the possibilities as to where they could go with it are endless. And you know we'll get some fabulous Ryan/Esposito moments. I truly can't wait to see more. Monday can't come soon enough.

And all along Ryan and Esposito will suspect something is going on and keep up the "are we interrupting" moments."

I think that would be keep up the tension going nicely.

Yeah I can totally imagine her telling Castle to keep it on the down low

 when they start dating and go to the precienct.

I would enjoy seeing that aspect of their relationship, but I don't want years of make up/break up. That doesn't sound as though that is what you're suggesting thecastlefan, but I am putting it out there nonetheless. Normal couples fight and argue, but make up/break up seems SO out of character for Beckett. She herself has said that she is more or less "once and done" as far as relationships go, so I hope that when the writers (finally) take us there, they make it realistic. They can't have Castle do anything that is too horrific because I think it would be hard for her character, at least as we know her, to forgive that. I think in that regard, they do have to plan this out fairly well.

I completely agree they could do so much with them being together. Her own website has her birthday listed in 1980?

I think the writers are on a great course. I don't know how it is in your world, but in my world is not "you meet, you feel an irresistable attration, you have sex, and you live happily ever after". In my world you meet, you feel an attraction, you wonder if that attraction is superficial or not, so you spend time together getting to know each other, and the attraction disappear, or steadies into friendship, or grows into love. And if you hook up, the foundation of the relationship is hopefully so secure by then, so it will withstand the inevitable conflicts and fights.

Now they are in the "getting to know each other"-phase, and it will have to take some time. You don't learn something new about a person every day. The writers are keeping it real. And I like it. Each episode are totally entertaining. I just hope enough people like it with me, so that the show stay on air.

Couldn't agree more :) The writers are doing really great job keeping it real and not being in a hurry with their relationship.

I've been following all your comments concerning Stana's age, I think the Aurora Paper article, in which Stana's MOM was intereviewed mentioning that they'd moved to Aurora in 1979 when Stana was a year old, is likely the most reliable source of her age.  I'm pretty sure her Mom knows when she was born, LOL!!!!

but seriously, i've seen that article as well, and i'd say it's a pretty safe bet that it's officially 1978.
