not sure if i should be laughing, or be a little insulted/concerned that the show is getting predictable?Crazy2

Oh it's hilarious.  I don't think it's an insult to the characters or stories at all but we all have to admit that there is somewhat of formula, but that is true for all crime shows.  What matters is that it's entertaining and the characters are engaging.

    That was hilarious! ROFL

When you come right down to it, all shows are predictable since we have seen it all before. Like Alie said, if a show is entertaining and the characters are engaging, then that's what matters. So I don't find this insulting at all.

Well, it seems to me that the best relationships–the ones that last–are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is…suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with. ~Dana Scully  Icon made by reema_patel

This is truly funny…LOL!  I agree that most everything is formulaic…the fact that the Castle cast and writers are so good that that formula is engaging week after week is a compliment!

Personally I don't understand why a "fan" would try to make the show look bad

Oh that was hilarious.  The best part – Suspect #1: No, I didn’t. The opening credits are still rolling.

As the author says, "If you watch any show long enough"… you can write
something similar about EVERY tv-show there is. Castle is now talked
about as a hit show all over the place, so it can deal with a little
good natured ribbing. And it's great that Castle writer Kate S doesn't take herself and Castle so seriously that she can't appreciate that piece, it was hitting the bulls eye again and again. We all recognized it, didn't we? I thought it was a great piece. Smile We're allowed to make a little fun of things we love. And looking around that web site it's clearly written by a fan. Even Castle makes fun of Castle – like pointing out Beckett's way too high heels in one episode. Laugh

I giggled quite a bit at that story, and just kept reminding myself that critic after critic can call the show formulaic or predictable, but it's still pulling in 10-11 million viewers every week and remains one of ABC's top shows.

My favorite part of that article:

Castle: Tony Danza's playing a long lost friend of Beckett's who tries to drive a wedge between us, but only brings us closer together.

Suspect: Someone else is doing that?

That's paraphrasing what's in the story, but you get the gist.  Laugh

Even though it insulted my favorite show, I can take a joke, and I have to admit- it was funny Laugh

But still, its a murder show. How many ways can it go? I mean, there's gonna be a murder. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a murder show. Then they'll solve the murder- shocker.

I'll admit it was funny, but I don't think they're justified in saying that its formulaic. There's only so many things you can do with a murder people.
