There's a few threads for Aust somewhere in the international section but I don't think they've been updated for a while.
Hi Phil! Welcome to the site
I happen to be an Aussie also.
Have thought a few times about organising an Aussie get together in Melbourne some time if enough people are interested, it's hard though when we're from all different states.
Greetings Admin,
Well this is true. Would be cool if any of the cast happen to make appearance in Australia people could justify the trip over.
Weekend trip over to Melbourne sounds good
Sell tickets to fund a guest appearance, bulk deal accommodation, sponsors and a few online groups would be cool.
Either way if there is any events or gatherings I would be happy to help out or just attend. Great opportunity to network and talk about a show we all like… I like the sound of some of those drinking games
Well this is a good start
Hi Janex, thanks for the interest!
Not sure for others but for me if a social gathering were to arise I would be fine making a weekend trip to Melbourne. Might not be ideal for some however if organising is given a decent crack I know I would be keen; I'll even help out.
I was thinking the other day during a festival my work hosts, 'Celebration of Literature' to extend an invitation to Nathan Fillion because of his charity 'Kids Need to Read', its a national competition and have local/international authors for book signings and readings.
It is kind of grey area chance because of his status but I'll throw it out there
So now my head is out of the clouds.. what are some possible social fan event parties ideas?
And who is a fan? And in Australia?

OfflineThats a great idea. I also live in Melbourne and know for a fact it can work out.
A few years ago with a help from a couple of other people I orgainzed a get together for the Young Talent Time fans all over Australia.
We even got former members of Young Talent Time to come which was a buss.
We had poeople from all over Australia come for the weekend and met & all had a ball.
We orgainzed 2 cakes with their faces on it with nibbles, music & a room.
It takes a lot of orgainzation but can work.
So count me in.[Image Can Not Be Found][Image Can Not Be Found]

OfflineI'm in the Outback…
I've also got my husband hooked on Castle.
I've also never seen Young Talent Time. I know it was huge over here but that was before I became a permanent resident. I do have to say that the revival of 'Hey Hey It's Saturday' was really not that good. I kept looking at my husband like 'you all consider this entertainment??' No offense but maybe the original was better….[Image Can Not Be Found]

OfflineThis is great! I'm in Canberra, but I visit Melbourne all the time – I'd love to be in on this
Annoying thing is, I can't seem to get any of my friends hooked on Castle, so it would be really nice to meet other people as Castle-crazy as I am [Image Can Not Be Found]

OneRepublic
Nice to meet you all
I got my eldest sister and niece hooked on Castle, then she told her girlfriends lol.
Its great having Castle on iTunes store, I put previous seasons & podcasts onto my iPod and just lend it to mates to use.
Would like to throw around some ideas for a gathering?
Hire of a theatre or other venue for drinks, canapé and an auction for Charity? or lounge bar pre booking for a private party, fun games, trivia etc…

OfflineAnother Sydney sider here. I have a friend who is also a Castle fan here but does not suffer OCD so this board is a lifeline for me.
A Castle get together sounds good. I have to travel a bit during the year and always have a hard time leaving my dog more than necessary but for Castle; who knows.

Check out that link Janex, should give you an idea.
I just thought about the reference to Nathan because of his charity. Guest speaker for this years dinner (Aussies will know this) was William Mcinnis.
