Castle will be on show tonight with the season 1 pilot on the Hungarian RTL Klub channel. Unfortunately it will be – just as the 99% of the programs – voice acted, about which I have serious doubt. There were two short promos on the channel, but nothing else. Previously this time slot was for The Mentalist, we will see how the closest competition will fare.

Absolutely local news, but made me happy: Castle is continuing with the second season without any further ado. Hungarian viewers are lucky, they won't have to wait for months to know what happened after the hospital.

Castle fared well up till now, it has around 950 thousand viewers +/- 5% and kept it no matter what was aired before. (Total population is less than 10 million, so compare to this.) It constantly won it's timeslot on Tuesday evening. It was not told how many episode of the second season will be aired now and how many will be shifted to the spring, but I hope that they will keep at least till the Halloween epsiode – it would be in the first week of November, perfect timing.

On 14 September Castle had a record, 1.212 million viewers (30% SHR). In 18-49 the SHR was even higher, 31,2%. With this Castle was the most viewed series of the week and in general it was the 3rd most viewed evening program in the week. (The first and second are two talent shows, fighting against each other on Saturday evenings). That's the best results yet, the episode was the1x09 Little Girl Lost.

Castle record again: on 28 September Castle's 2x01 episode was the week most viewed series episode with 1.240 million viewers (29,8% SHR) and first time it was the most viewed series in 18-49 with 610 thousand viewers (32,6% SHR). Both numbers are records for the series of their own as well. In all-total only the two talent show and the 4th Indiana Jones movie produced better numbers in the week. 

I have to admit that again it was with the help of the Championship League soccer on the rival channel.

On the 10-16 week the numbers are decreased but as it happened overall, Castle kept its second place: 1,034 million viewers (24,7% SHR), 18-49: 495 thousand (26,9% SHR).

Just for the comparison, now on the Hungarian nationwide channels there are the NCIS, Bones, H50, Fringe, Glee, CSI, Criminal Minds and a lot of others, so when we say Castle is the second most viewed show it's worth to know.
