I'm currently heading a fundraiser for Kids Need To Read, in honor of co-founder and actor Nathan Fillion's birthday this year, March 27th. We have some great items that will be raffled off to entice you to donate: a Serenity comic autographed by Alan Tudyk, a copy of Waitress which Nathan kindly autographed for us and a bill (money) from the set of Serenity, also autographed by Nathan. In addition to those items, I will be sending a birthday card to Nathan, and if you donate, your name and a small, personal message will be included with the card.

If you donate, make sure you send a copy of your receipt to nathanfillionfans@gmail.com, so that we can be sure to put your name into the drawing for the autographed items.

For those who donate in ANY dollar amount, your name will be entered into the drawing for the Serenity comic.

For those who donate $50 or more, your name will be entered into the drawing for the Waitress DVD.

For those who donate $75 or more, your name will be entered into the drawing for the bill (money) from the set of Serenity.

Anyone who donates may send us a copy of their receipt, with a small, personal message to be placed into Nathan's birthday card.

If everything goes well with this, our first fundraiser, then we hope to do it again next year. I only decided to do this last month, so I realize it's short notice, but it's totally worth it!

Nathan did receive his card and from what I hear, he was very pleased with how the fundraiser turned out.  Our final total raised was $1066 and we are working on some great auction items for next year.
