Ok FANS, it's time to do this thing!  Last year, you helped raise over $1000 for Kids Need To Read in honor of Nathan's birthday.  This year, we are hoping to match or exceed that amount.  To that end, we've got some great raffle items and we're also issuing a creative challenge to you.

One of the ideas that was brought to us was to replace this year's birthday card for Nathan with a birthday scrapbook.  While Nathan did receive and enjoy the birthday card with the messages, how great would it be for him to have a scrapbook that he could view any time he wishes that shows our love and appreciation for the entertainment he brings to our lives on a daily basis?

This is your chance to shine!  Show Nathan how much you care by designing your very own scrapbook page in honor of his birthday.  Get creative with your page – come up with a theme or simply show him who you are and how he's touched your life through his many television and movie roles.  Did you meet him and get a pic of the two of you together?  Use that experience as your muse and build a page around that memory. 

For a minimum donation of $5.00, we will include your personally designed 12 x 12 scrapbook page in any theme (birthday, Castle, Firefly, etc), INCLUDING your personal message to Nathan.  The personal message should be incorporated on the scrapbook page, not separately.  Your donation will also qualify you for raffle items.

No need to provide a sleeve for your page(s) – I will take care of that.  Simply mail me your scrapbook page(s), along with a printed (or emailed!) receipt of your Paypal donation to Kids Need To Read.

For those who donate items to our fundraiser to be raffled off, you are also eligible to submit a 12x12 scrapbook page!Rules for scrapbooking pages:

*No profanity.*  This is a gift for Nathan's birthday – there will be no need for curse words or anything derogatory.  Any page submitted that includes this type of thing WILL NOT be included.

*No requests for autographs, phone calls or dates.*  This is a gift FOR Nathan, not an opportunity to try to get something out of it for yourself.  Any page submitted that includes these requests WILL NOT be included.

*No nudity or offensive images.*  If you wouldn't want your family to see the picture, don't expect that Nathan would want to see it either.  We WILL NOT include naked pictures or anything remotely suggestive or offensive. Be respectful.

Please mail your scrapbook pages NO LATER THAN March 5th.  We need to make sure we have enough time to get the album to Nathan BEFORE his birthday.  If you are unable to donate money by that date, feel free to send the page ahead of time and email us the receipt at nathanfillionfans@gmail.com once you have donated – we will finalize the book and verify all donations before sending.

Please visit http://www.kidsneedtoread.org/…..onate.html in order to donate to this year's Fillion FANS Fundraiser.  Make sure to include a note in the memo area that you are donating as part of the FANS Fundraiser so we can get you entered for all raffle items your donation makes you eligible for, otherwise we won't know to include you in the raffle.  Also be aware:  YOU DO NOT NEED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO DONATE.  Payments are taken via Paypal, but you are not required to set up an account with Paypal to submit your donation.

Don't forget to spread the word about the fundraiser!  100% of the money raised from the Fillion FANS Fundraiser goes DIRECTLY to Kids Need To Read.  Send the link to your parents, relatives, friends, co-workers or anyone else you can think of.  We have just a little over two months to make this happen, so let's get started!! All donations are 100% tax deductible!!!  

I'm sure it would travel just fine!  If it gets a little wrinkled, no big deal, because we'll put it in the book and it will get flattened in no time LOL.

If you don't think the page will get to me by March 10th (cuz I'm moving March 11th), then you should send the page to Debb Brown w/KNTR since she is the one sending our scrapbook to Nathan.  I'll be mailing her the scrapbook with wrapping paper on the 11th, so the page needs to either be to the Fillion FANS address or you should just send to KNTR directly.  Make sure you also include a copy of your donation receipt with the page so that we can get your name entered into the raffle for the cool items we've got this year!
