OfflineNathan is a show-stealer, but are we surprised?
There are many complaints about how Comic-Con turns toward mainstream shows, but I think that no matter what role he will act in the future, Nathan will always be a most welcomed guest at the show. No surprise he likes the childish side of Castle – I think he even has to restrain himself. Great guy!

Well, Nathan twittered that he will not be in the avengers movie. I was kind of hoping that the rumours were true. I would love to see Nathan kick some ass on the big screen.

OfflinePity that he can't be part of Joss' movie, albeit don't rule out a cameo. The vibe I felt was a) Marvel has probably given little room to JW in casting (I know from inside they keep a tight reign on everybody and everything, directors in particular) b) Contract with ABC may be problem for Marvel, who wants 4-5 movies deals for any actor. Remember, NF was on a holding deal with ABC, meaning, if Castle is cancelled tomorrow, they still have first dibs on NF, and can book him into anything else. c) Also, NF could rightly feel that, as lead of own TV show, he'd be short-changed if Marvel deal means no chance to seek bigger movie roles elsewhere, particularly considering the show continued ratings, which may raise his profile even more. d) Plus, w/ missing GL, NF's team prob feels a need to built on popularity with own solo vehicle 1st. c) Thus, GrtstAmHero — except, if ABC co-owns it (originally broadcasted) they may seek a new series, not feature. d) And, finally, being popular by charm and wits alone, he just may be simply reluctant to enter the summer blockbusters grinder, which takes a physical toll on actors. Wouldn't blame him. He can clearly go the everyman Harrison Ford route, in thrillers and comedy-adventures, instead of straight superhero in tights, which can burn a career if done wrong. If I were him I would explore a feature option with the same team of Marlowe (who wrote for Ford) and Bowman (Who's already done features) once they're done with the series, or maybe sooner.
