Thank you for the info, maybe I will batge in, though I haven't got a BR player yet.
Silly question: are Blu-Ray disks regio coded in a way as DVDs or are they playable everywhere? I have a separate DVD drive for the Regio1 disks, but don't want to buy two BR drives as well.

Yeah Blu-rays are also region coded, there are Region A, B and C.
Region A : contains releases from United States, Canada and Asian nations such as Japan, Korea and Hong Kong.
Region B : contains releases from Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Region C : contains releases from Russia and India.
But a lot of Blu-ray movies are Region free unlike most DVD's. Check out the following website http://bluray.liesinc.net/inde…..p?region=a it has a list of Blu-ray movies that are Region free or not. And it says that the 'American' Blu-ray of Firefly is Region A and B.
Firefly and Serenity are two that are definitely on the region-free list which is fantastic.
unfortunately it's not possible to change the region coding on blu ray players like it is with most dvd players so it's important you check all your blu ray discs for region coding before you buy .

Offlineyeah, the others subtitles work perfectly : english, spanish even dutch, but French, nothing, i select it, but nothing happens
What's weird is that for the other sub-titles there are marked only : Dutch, English or Spanish but the French subtitles, it says: French Text.
BTW, i try to read the Blu-Ray with my PS3.

I'm not sure if it will work but the remote has a button for the 'subtitles' but if the French subtitle is screwed up it probably won't work with the remote as well. Good luck and I do hope you're able to watch them with French subtitles. I love watching in English with Dutch subtitles.

Sounds like a software issue. I would just 'google' the problem and see what happens.
Subtitles work well on our Blue-Ray player! Firefly looks so much prettier on Blue-Ray!!
