Haven't been on here in a long time – husband's been in the hospital, dog and cat sick.  Feeling really low this morning and then went to run an errand in the neighborhood before going to the hospital.  And my day got brighter — thanks to another Nathan sighting!  Thought I'd post because I remember when people were talking about him looking slightly pudgy or not in shape.  May I just say — NOT TRUE!  Our weather's been warm lately — and he and a couple of friends were walking our main street…he was in a green tight t-shirt — nothing but tight, strong-looking muscles and lots of gorgeousness!  Definitely in shape – definitely ruggedly handsome and then some!    

I think Nathan looks hotter each season! Season 1-Castle did nothing to me but now… I love those very few extra pounds, I think I'm starting to develop a huge crush on that guy

Yeah, two female friends of mine, who are also Castle fans, are with you in that one — they both tell me they think Season 4 Castle is looking much hotter than he looked before!  As for me, I like his images in every Season and find him extremely attractive (manly, sexy, hot, ruggedly handsome, whatever) in any shape, with or without those few more pounds that he's gained recently, so they don't bother me at all. I actually think that Castle's latest more "solid" and less "playboyish" look is perfectly consistent with the character development, with his emotional growth, maturity, etc.

What really does bother me, though, is his rather tired, weary look in some episodes of Season 4 — I mean, those bags under his eyes, etc. Of course it's quite understandable considering this really tough schedule that he has (shooting for 14-16 hours 5 days a week, often up at 5 a.m. etc), and working in this rhythm for several years must be exhausting physically, especially when you are not 25 or even 35 anymore (well, I'm 45, and I can tell that my energy resourses and 'fatigue resistance" are quite different now from what they used to be 10-15 years ago). And Nathan, besides working really hard on Castle, tries to do some other things as well — he appears now and then in his friends' web-series (The Guild, Husbands etc.), participates in Thrilling Adventure Hour, makes an indie-movie with Joss Whedon and whatnot. So he must have an extremely busy schedule and I can't help but admire his working efficiency. I just hope he was able to rest a bit during this Christmas hiatus, sleep long hours, relax on the beach, or whatever he needs to recuperate for the rest of the season. And I'm very glad to hear that he's looking as good as ever.

I have to say I LOVE Nathan in t-shirts and that Indigo blue shirt he sometimes wore in season 1, sooo Hot!

Part of Castle ( and Nathan's) charm is how physically manly he is. A hug from Castle would make Kate melt. She would feel totally safe and comforted from the ills of the world. 

I think this is a great point, and I completely agree.  Nathan's sometimes tired, droopy look not only makes him look "tired" but can also make him look "pudgy" even if he hasn't gained weight.  Thankfully we know Nathan is healthy and active, and will always be ruggedly handsome.  Of course the fact that Stana always looks fantastic sets the bar pretty darn high for the rest of the cast
