Mr Montgomery, Castle will not be the same without you and we will miss what you have brought to the series as we move onto the next chapter. You've always been simply amazing and you brought something unique and special to the series. I don't think I'm the only one who feels like we've lost someone we know and love, your performance in the finale was touching and worthy of such an epic episode. We will miss your behind the scenes insights. Thank you.
We wish you all the best for the future and look forward to hearing where you go from here.

Dear Ruben,
I'm still crying from tonight's heartbreaking episode. Not seeing you in the Castle family anymore is too painful to think about. I remember when I met you at Paley and how kind, warm, and charming you were to me. The thought of not having you around every week hurts my heart. Please know how deeply you will be missed. It is my prayer that this is not an end, but a new beginning for you; that you soar into exciting new adventures in your stellar career, and that we can rejoice with you in your continuing success. God bless and keep you and yours. Know that you take our hearts with you wherever you go.

Dear Ruben,
It's hard to put into words how much I appreciate you and all of your hard work. Imagining the show without you is unimaginable at this point. From episode 1, you played an amazing role and you brought Captain Roy Montgomery to life like no other could and you've kept this character alive and fascinating throughout the whole series. You have been phenomenal in every single episode of Castle you've appeared in, but your performance is 'Knockout' was absolutely breathtaking and moved me to tears. Words cannot describe my gratitude towards you and all you've done for your fans. You are an incredible actor with so many talents and I know you've got a bright future ahead of you but I will always know and love you as Captain Roy Montgomery. Watching you leave the show is definitely difficult and I feel like I'm losing a beloved person in my life but best of wishes to you and hope to still hear from you on Twitter

Dear Ruben,
Thank you for what you have done to the character of Captain Roy Montgomery. I can't believe they took your character away, but I guess it will advance the storytelling. You will be missed. You have brought life to the character and has helped support the other characters. We will miss the laughs and the behind the scenes jokes/pics.
Your performance in Knockout was amazing and I cried so much when Roy died.
Wish you all the best for your future projects and I hope they bring you back for flashback scenes!

I cried my eyes out – and my friend (a Castle devotee too) looked at me, in pain, and I said, "it's a fraud, he's not dead."
She said, "are you completely nuts?"

I heard you mention once at an interview or event that your approach to CASTLE was to step back and take less of the screen time, but truly step up to the plate and knock it out of the park in the scenes you did have – and that is most definitely what you've done. There are not many people who would have been dedicated and talented enough to take a character who got comparatively less screen time (relative to the leads) and still make him into a character that the audience could care so, so deeply about. And it goes without saying that your performance in Knockout was breathtaking and heartbreaking.
Captain Montgomery will be dearly missed. Thank you for everything you have done at CASTLE and best of luck with whatever you do in the future!

Oh Ruben, where to start?
I have watched from beginning and there is no one like you.
You always have that twinkle in your eye, you have the right words to say when someone is in trouble.
You made Beckett, Ryan, Esposito and Castle and rest of the castle feel like their father figure.
You have made us cry, laugh, see the serious things, help with the serious things, taking people off cases when they shouldn't be, etc.
I could on and on, but that would take forever.
I thank you as viewer and as an actor that you have done a wonderful job these past three years.
Who knew that we could love the Captain as much as we love you. *hugs*
Thanks once again for your incredible acting and I hope you go far in your future acting roles.
You will be missed.

It has been an absolute pleasure to watch you over this past three seasons, and last nights finale was nothing short of stunning and you were a huge part of that. You were, quite simply, incredible.
I wish you the very best of luck with everything you do in the future and I thank you from the bottom of my fangirly heart for giving us Montgomery. You will ALWAYS be a part of our Castle family and we love you.

I just can't stand it. Daddy Bear not be there with all his cubs at the 12th? You were the heart of the family and the rock of the show. I know that I already hate whoever is going to replace you!
Your acting was beyond stupendous, especially in the finale. So thank you for 3 wonderful seasons. The writers are going to have a hard job convincing me that killing you off was a necessary plot device and that it won't diminish the show. We will miss you.[Image Can Not Be Found]
