Every time I saw your character on Castle, I loved you just a little bit more. Words cannot express how very much I am going to miss you. Your performance in the finale blew me away. You are a great talent & Castle won't be the same without you. I wish you all the luck in the world with all your future endeavors.

Dear Mr. Santiago-Hudson,
I am still reeling from the season finale and the death of your character. I am an "older" adult, but I got so wrapped up in the story line I was in tears. My complements to the writers — with the serious error in judgement of your character as a rookie, the Captain still came out a hero in my opinion. You can always be proud of your accomplishments on Castle. You will be terribly missed, but I look forward to your future projects. Keep us posted!

Dear Ruben,
I love watching Castle as it is one of the few shows my entire family enjoys watching together, the dynamic all of you have on the show is both touching and entertaining. That being said it's sad that even one of you is leaving the show, I've enjoyed watching you in you portrayal of Roy Montgomery and was on the edge of my seat during the finale. I'm really sorry to see you and your go but I wish you the best in your future endevours and look forward to seeing you again in whatever project you take on after this. Thanks for helping to make one of the best shows on TV a little better all these years!

Thank you Ruben for contributing a style and grace to Castle that goes beyond words. You have made a big impact on Castle and have many fans to prove that. I have enjoyed every moment we had with Capt. Roy Montgomery and he will be deeply missed on the show. You have left some large shoes to be filled and the next actor to take on the role of Capt. will have their work cut of for him/her. In Knockout you accomplished an emotional and moving performance that speaks of your great talent and ability. Thank you so much and the best to you in your stage work and any other projects you take on.

Thank you so much for all you contributed to the continued excellence of Castle. From the interview Stana did of you, it is apparent that you helped "mentor" her since this is her first series. We will all miss you on Castle, but I'm sure we all anxiously await your next project so we can "hop on board" your train.

My first hope is that it was all a masterful hoax to trick the bad guy, and that Captain is not actually dead but in protective custody somewhere. That would make me happy. I hate it when great shows feel they have to kill someone off in order to generate excitement. That said, what a way to go! That was your best performance yet! Makes me wish they'd given you more opportunities to shine before this finale'. You have wonderful paternal chemistry with Beckett. Your last scene with her was heartwrenching because you both played the parts so well. I'm going to miss that interaction the most. I hope someone in Hollywood takes notice and this performance opens many more doors for you in your career.
You will be missed!

Mr. Santiago:
To me, Captn Montgomery was a real person. It should be the standard by whom leaders are measured. Yes, you made a mistake early in your career, but not only did you made up for it with good deeds, good leadership, training not good but great cops and detectives and caring for your own (family and "immediate family"). You showed your character early on the series and always kept true to it.
You were always the rock in which the detectives on the 12th could stand and find comfort and righteousness when needed . Go by the rules most of the time, but rougue when necessary. An exemplary father to your children and a great husband to your spouse even when you were not always there in presence (but always in soul).
My hat goes off to you, the mentor and guide. You had a really hard part to play this last episode and played it AWESOMELY!!!….you made me: mad…hate you…understand you…pleade to you…redeem you and finally love you….All in the same episode!!!…i had never seen that acheived as masterfully as you did…KUDOS to you!
and finally…Thank you for being part of this great show called "CAstle" (yes, I know it is just a TV show) and this great community called Castle TVnet!
May your path lead to many other accomplishments and triumphs to you and your family!
