Sorry if this topic was already brought up. But has anyone (I hope so) noticed that Dec. Ryan has a Richard Castle novel in his hands in at least one scene in each episode? I know he's had Heat Wave a couple times, but don't know for sure if he's had any of the other RC Novels…

It's funny, makes me smile every time I see him with one of Castle's books.

Must be kind of annoying for Beckett, considering Ryan and Esposito gave her such a hard time about reading Castle's books in the Pilot Laugh

The most recent one was a blue cover (I think one of the Derek Storm novels).

I love that is added to the ambience–if I was a cop, and had a writer working with my "boss" or "partner", I'd read his/her books, too. But I'm a dork.

Haha! Yes! I had noticed that. I think it's hilarious. C'mon Ryan catch up, get with the program. Guess that's why, whenever Castle mentions something that happened in one of his books, Ryans all like *nod nod* "yeah." Because they're fresh in his mind from always reading them when he should be working. HAHA! Bounce

Or if she's as big a fan as we've been led to believe she is, it will make her happy because others are becoming fans of Castle's work too. Kinda like when new viewers get hooked on Castle the TV show. Smile

I noticed it too. I was sad to not spot it anymore in S2, but I guess that may've been overkill on something that was funny in S1. Smile
