Beckett's love interest has been cast it sounds like. Hmm, I'm still not sure how I feel about using love interests to keep them apart and keep the dance going….

thanks for posting m_hanh, i don't how to feel about it too, but i know i didn't like, "could return next fall." and i guess that they'll end this season around this story!!

Ugh! This guy sort of has Nathan's looks is this on purpose? May return in the fall not liking that but then again teasers all the way with EW.
Castle will kick his butt out of town.

He does sorta look like Nathan, he's cute. I've got mixed feelings on this… I love when they have them jealous and all but on the other hand I dont want this guy sticking around for that long. Maybe my opinion will change when I acctually see this guy in action… I love seeing Castle get jelous but not for too long, I do like my regular Beckett/Castle stuff. So Beckett gets a love interest for 4 episodes or more and Castle gets one for just one episode? Hah.

I actually want to see how they are with other people, so 4 eps of him shouldn't be that bad riiight? We pretty much know they won't put Castle and Beckett together by this season nor any distant future anyway.

I know they're not going to throw Castle & Beckett together anytime soon and it is fun to watch them with other people, getting jealous and all but I don't want that going on for too long. Im excited to see what his character is like, it'll be funny as to how much he's like Castle. I just don't want another Sorenson.

OMG! OMG! That's Sam! I'm still not happy with the whole boyfriend storyline but as a big "Battlestar Galactica" fan I'm over the moon. It should be interesting.

Ditto on that.
I've never been big on the dating one guy to make the other jealous type of storylines, but Michael T. is one good looking man.
On BSG he was one big draws and I'm actually looking forward to seeing how this plays out. I certainly like his looks better than Sorenson.

I don't like this. At. All. It actually makes me sick to my stomach. Why do they have to use all these silly plot devices? Ugh. If they bring him back in the fall, I hope it's only so she can choose Castle over him. I mean, seriously. The Beckett-Castle dynamic is what drives this show. If they screw with it to much it's just going to hurt that.

Bear in mind, all, that he's got his own pilot he's shooting right now, according to his IMDb page. So I don't think schedule-wise he'd be able to stick around very long. Unless, his pilot doesn't get picked up…Oooh, didn't think about that. 
I'll be unhappy if the guy is a jerk both to Kate and to Castle, but if he's a lot like Castle, I'll be happier because I do feel like Beckett deserves some happiness. And, if he's a good guy, it'll give Ryan, Esposito, Lanie, etc. all the more reason to tell Beckett "What are you doing? Don't you see he's a clone of Castle?"

Quite handsome guy 
We all know that Beckett and Castle belong to each other, but being emotionally involved with other people is definitely going to help him fully realize that they are meant for each other. I really want to see Castle very, very, very jealous.
BTW, it would be interesting if it turned out that Beckett's new love interest was involved in her mother's murder…

cmon guys, it's not THAT bad. besides every girl needs a little bit of fun – there's nothing wrong with giving her a boyfriend for a few eps. opportunity for more tension, too!
on the other hand- checked IMDB…. Michael Trucco's dad is a police officer. interesting.
