Sorry if this was already posted as a topic but I had a question about when there might be an episode about this. I heard that it was going to be during sweeps. Anybody know if it's November sweeps or May sweeps? Or any other info?

I haven't heard much about Johanna's case recently. I know in earlier interviews Nathan said they were going to drag the case out. It wouldn't be something they solve in the first half of the season.

Last I remember they were going to address it again in the final episodes this season (but that was still when the season was only 13 episodes). So, we'll either see it in week 12/13 or more-so week 21/22.

Becklers do it with the beckle on.

Thanks! I knew it was going to be drawn out over time but I was hoping they'd start doing it sooner rather than later. Looking forward to the unraveling of it.

I hope they address it long before the final episodes. Not necessarily solve it and tuck it away but give us some more to chew on. I know it's not good to think like this but I don't want to be left with another cliffhanger and be left wondering in case we don't get another season.

Jamz, I feel the same way you do. I understand not rushing in to it, but I always worry about shows being canceled and then getting little/no resolution. This bothers me a lot. As it is, I think Castle has a decent chance of getting a 3rd season, but you never know. 3 of my favorite shows were canceled in the last year with little warning and the finale episodes were duds and to a degree, it ruined the series for me.

I read that while there are going to be an episode, maybe more, about Beckett's mothers murder that it won't fully be resolved for another season or 2.  If we are so graced with castle for that long.  I really hope so.

3 armed cops and a writer makes 4, you're under arrest now get on the floor

It depends on the audience's LOYALTY to the show and getting the new viewers. If we are successful in both areas, "Castle" will be safe. But as I said, it all depends on the VIEWERS. So keep the numbers GROWING!!!

Exactly, and keep up the support as well. It never hurts to call them 24/7 and tell them how much we love Castle using a voice changing device. lol.

No, but definately keep up the support and hopefully other's will join. :)

I think if they drag out the resolution, it will actually help the ratings because there's a long term arc behind the more "villain of the week" style episodes. We know who really killed Jane Doe by the time the episode's over, but we still have no idea what really happened to Johanna Beckett.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling that if it's dragged out just long enough, Alexis will have at least a small role in solving it. She has already shown an interest in law enforcement, as well as cold cases. It just feels like a lot of foreshadowing, along with Alexis and Beckett's apparent bond.

i really hope they do drag it out so as not to solve it so quickly.  i mean, it's been a mystery to kate since forever so it would seem stupid if they just randomly solved it in the first couple of seasons.  however, i do think that perhaps it needs to be brought up again.  it hasn't really been mentioned since the premiere.  and as was said above, i too worry about cancellation before anything is resolved.  :(

Yes, this! I couldn't agree more!

It's worth bringing up again, but it'd be nice to get a little dragging out. For example, we could find out how she died but as to the "why" and "who did it", it might be better to split things up.

exactly.  little bits and pieces at a time.  it's a delicate balance, for sure.

umm…early morning while driving my way home from work..a thought occurred to me that maybe kate's father was the one who hired connan to kill his wife.I mean, practically from season 1 and 2(so far) all of the victims murderer are either their family members or closest friends.still figuring the motive out though..hehe

forgive me if someone has posted this already or if am not allowed to??Innocent..maybe i just have too much coffee to drink of having a night shift from 7pm-4am..ROFL

Now that would put the cat amongst the pigeons. And one could certainly construct a scenario where out of guilt at what he did, he tried to lose himself in the bottle. However, KB's dad????? I think not. If her family had that sort of dynamic, she'd be a far differently damaged person.

The fact that the victims and the murderers are related/know each other in the show reflects reality. When a married person dies, the cops always look at the spouse first, and often that's as far as they have to look. Human nature seems to dictate if you are going to kill someone, it likely will be one of those closest to you. [Sad commentary, but the stats bear our the observation.]

Personally, i don't even want to try to guess what reason someone had for hiring a professional killer to remove Johanna, until the writers at least tell us what she did for a living. All we seem to know is that one of the other victims was a 'law student of hers' – which could mean she was a law professor, a lawyer or a judge (or something completely different).

If Beckett's Mom ends up being a judge or DA or someone in Govt. it can open so many story lines. Can't wait.

In the season premier it sounded like she was a law professor. One of the other murder victims was a former law student of hers.

And as a law professor she could also work part time as a consultant on cases. And one of the cases got her killed…

Well in my experience I've taken two law classes and one was taught by a lawyer and the other by an assistant DA so just because "it was a law student of hers" doesn't necessarily mean she was a professor. I wish they'd give us just a little more background though. Especially more than just Castle mentioning in passing that she taught law.
