Yes, this! I couldn't agree more!
It's worth bringing up again, but it'd be nice to get a little dragging out. For example, we could find out how she died but as to the "why" and "who did it", it might be better to split things up.
exactly. little bits and pieces at a time. it's a delicate balance, for sure.

Offlinehi guys!
:
umm…early morning while driving my way home from work..a thought occurred to me that maybe kate's father was the one who hired connan to kill his wife.I mean, practically from season 1 and 2(so far) all of the victims murderer are either their family members or closest friends.still figuring the motive out though..hehe
forgive me if someone has posted this already or if am not allowed to??:innocent:..maybe i just have too much coffee to drink of having a night shift from 7pm-4am..

OfflineNow that would put the cat amongst the pigeons. And one could certainly construct a scenario where out of guilt at what he did, he tried to lose himself in the bottle. However, KB's dad????? I think not. If her family had that sort of dynamic, she'd be a far differently damaged person.
The fact that the victims and the murderers are related/know each other in the show reflects reality. When a married person dies, the cops always look at the spouse first, and often that's as far as they have to look. Human nature seems to dictate if you are going to kill someone, it likely will be one of those closest to you. [Sad commentary, but the stats bear our the observation.]
Personally, i don't even want to try to guess what reason someone had for hiring a professional killer to remove Johanna, until the writers at least tell us what she did for a living. All we seem to know is that one of the other victims was a 'law student of hers' – which could mean she was a law professor, a lawyer or a judge (or something completely different).

In the season premier it sounded like she was a law professor. One of the other murder victims was a former law student of hers.
And as a law professor she could also work part time as a consultant on cases. And one of the cases got her killed…
That could be it, I mean it sounds reasonable.

OfflineWell in my experience I've taken two law classes and one was taught by a lawyer and the other by an assistant DA so just because "it was a law student of hers" doesn't necessarily mean she was a professor. I wish they'd give us just a little more background though. Especially more than just Castle mentioning in passing that she taught law.

Stana did say on her radio interview that her mother's case will be touched on again this season.
