I love to pick on the kid from Jersey.
It's quite apparent that the Newfoundland accent is different from the one in western Canada, and that many regions within the states have different accents. I'd have to live under a rock to not know that. :) As far as I'm aware, though, there's a more generic 'accent' like Stana's that doesn't sound any different from the way I or my Canadian friends speak, never mind some of my friends from the States. That's why, when someone points out phrasing like that, I wonder what it is about the way she talks that sets her apart from what, to me, sounds like a pretty standard way to talk. Just curiosity, I have a fascination with accents haha.
