i was talking with a coworker about the demise of the james bond franchise because of MGM's financial troubles, and he said it was not so and to go here:

i recall in stana's first online chat, she mentioned that she had been in talks about returning to franchise… has she said anything else since then? i would assume she would be reprising her role as the canadian intelligence officer corinne vineau.

That would be awesome if she came back.  I just hope, regardless of the character she plays, that she doesn't die!  Though as much as I'd love to see her in another bond film and i'm sure she really would want to do it since she really like working with Daniel Craig before, I seriously doubt she has time for anything as involved as a Bond film shoot.  Maybe they could write in a quick fling for her and Bond so she doesn't have to be present for the entire shoot.  Oh, I feel a fan fic coming on!  It would also make a legitimate Bond girl.

It may be that the news that "The Hobbit" may finally get underway – funded in part by MGM is giving new hope to projects that were in doubt due to MGM's desperate financial state… The Hobbit is likely to make back a lot of money, we can only hope! (from one still holding out hope for a couple of Stargate movies).
