Totally agree with your sentiments beckettrocks. This was the first "something" I ever saw Stana in, and I have to say she stole the first 10 minutes of the movie. You didn't see anyone else when she was in the scene.

I am so pleased that they found a vehicle like Castle to showcase this amazing presence.

Castle also highlights the relationships. Feast of love, as you point out, highlights the different dimensions of love and heart issues. As Castle and Beckett and the other characters mature, they realise a different and deeper love that they share.

Whether it is father/daughter, Caskett, Mother and son. The brotherly love as in Ryan and Esposito. The richness of love is really emerging. These are not just work relationships, but family relationships built on a deep and meaningful level. And like all good families, there are good days and bad days. It's how they deal with the tough days that is character building.

I also thought Stana and Selma Blair had amazing chemistry. Maybe she should guest star as a suspect or something on Castle. Get the Beckett stare down. With that chemistry, can you imagine Castle's face watching these 2?

Selma's character gets the the full treatment in interrogation including the Beckett stare, but instead of getting flustered it looks like she is turned on.  She likes fiesty in-charge Beckett just like Castle does.  And there is Castle watching the interplay back and forth like a tennis match.  As they walk out of interrogation he can't resist but comment and says "That was really hot.  It reminded me of a movie I saw once, "Feast of Lust" or something like that."

I agree!  I haven't seen the movie all the way through, but I have seen Stana's scenes many times, and the first time I never expected that her character was a lesbian.  Boy, did I get a surprise!  But she gave a great performance.  And you're right, not all Hollywood actresses will take such a part.  She got the attention of LOTS of people.
