OfflineHey there!
I love FLO, you can read about it in the facebook discussion!
I wanted to share a little something for you… as a musician I couldn't stop listening, so I wrote something about the music in FLO down:
Analysis of the use of the FLO Main Theme "Cache Cache"
By Carmen Amrein
The maintheme (Cache Cache) is introduced by the trumpet, which means "fantasy", later on, when Yves and Sofia are on the road the accordion plays the maintheme. This means "romance" and "freedome". Afterwards the violin is used to underline the "dreams" they have.
Within the last 30 Minutes of FLO you more often hear the piano playing parts of the theme… the piano symbolizes the "REAL world". In the end the violin plays the maintheme accompanied by the piano… the "dreams" accompanied by the "REAL world"… I now think that within the instrument-change at the end, violin is accompanying the piano -the REAL world is turning- which might stand for: Yves and Sofia found a way to be together. And my first thoughts about Cache-Cache:
I -for myself- love "Cache Cache" most. A beautiful track with the piano accompanying the violin, which plays this somehow sad/minor/dorian melodie. The sad/minor/dorian melodie could be interpreted as standing for the sad feeling after a break up of a relationship, but somehow the melodie is nice enough to think of the future, weather in the case of Yves and Sofia it is a future apart or together. You can hear "Cache Cache" in full length at the end of FLO. The track somehow symbolizes the open ending. It's a simple melodie, but catchy enough to be categorized as "Ohrwurm" (Earwurm, a song, that won't leave your head for days. You will go to sleep hearing it inside your head and waking up whistling it.) The position of the instruments change at the end of the track, the violin suddenly accompanies the piano. This can be interpreted as a chance of thinking… like first Yves&Sofia are in love living the moment, and at the end they see that there is a future waiting and change their mind. "Cache Cache" ends on the Tonika (1st), after a long hold Dominante (5th). The meaning behind this is a last thought (Dominante) before the music tells us with the Tonika, that all is well. (would the melodie have ended on the 5th/Dominante it would end as a question, as an open ending).
The first 4-8 measures are used as Main Theme within the movie.
Thanks to Always!!!

Thank you so much for sharing this!! That was really amazing.
I also have a passion for music, but I NEVER would have been able to figure that out.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

OfflineOk, fellow music lovers. This is a little OT (not FLO, but Castle related). So we know that the season premiere for season 4 is "Rise". The song that plays at the end of Knockdown is "Rise" by The Frames. Go listen to it. Pay attention to the lyrics. Are AWM and co giving us a clue? This song, in relation to C/B, gave me massive goosebumps.

According to Mark Polish the movie will be available on iTunes from 12nd July. The OST is available now on both iTunes (in the USA) and through CDBaby (www.cdbaby.com) for the rest of the world. (This is the original music of Kubilay Uner, doesn't include the songs from other artists.)
Until the iTunes release arrives, here is Mark Polish' FLOETRY from twitter comments and a very thoughtful review:

OfflineCould someone in the USA and with an iTunes account check whether "For Lovers Only" is on the list of the next week movie releases/preorders? From Hungary I can't see, but iTunes stock is different in each countries. Theoretically it should be available worldwide at least according to Mark Polish.
