OfflineWrite anything you want! As long as it in some way has to do with Stana…in a good way of course! No talkin bad about her or u will have me to answer too! Trust me when it comes to Stana you don't wanna mess with me! Now that that is out of the way let’s talk Stana!
To me Stana is well…Stana there is no other way to put it! My favorite Role of hers is Beckett but her funniest to quote has to be Morganstern. That role was the best acting I have ever seen. Love her facial expressions too! The way she smiles, as Castle has mentioned on the way she gets the lines in her forehead when she is concentrating, when she bites her lip (in different roles it means different things but always cute! Beckett-Castle is right, Morganstern-she's confused or thinking, Simone-she's happy/giddy), her looks of frustration, joy, elation, anger, annoyance, sly, secretive, well let’s just say she can do them all. I love her gift with accents. It is amazing how well she does with all those different accents. Would love to see that integrated into Castle somehow…tho she did do the Russian one…which is one of the best! The New Jersey one cracks me up! Everything she said in The Spirit was funny. It was delivered very loudly and well with the funniest accent ever! She seemed genuinely happy in that movie…maybe that's why I love her part so well! What the heck I love all her roles! Well I have been up too long gotta work tomorrow you guys have fun with this and I’ll most likely add more later…keep on Becklin!
C-B! your crazy Stana fan!

OfflineHer appearance on the spirit is one of my fave too
i alsoi love her on stiletto
i thought it was just really superb acting, especially the part where she visited her sister and she also sang to her, it was amazing
another fave stana guest appearance was on ER where she played Blair Collins, i love watching it again and again, the whole scene where she was like almost hysterical just remembering what happened to her mother, it gives me chills seeing how well she played the scene
and i'm really really really looking forward to her movie Truth ABout Kerry, i've watched the trailer for like gazillion times cause she was just so good

OfflineI think the most amazing thing about Stana is that when you see her in a role you don't see anything of her previous roles in the performance you're watching. It's always fresh and almost like you're watching an entirely different person. Not many actors have that chameleon-like ability.
I also like that she can play (with equal aplomb) such a variety of genres. Comedy, drama, action and probably even a musical; she’s there: 100%.
I don’t know if it was a conscious decision or what but during this Season’s premiere episode she used a Russian accent, but Beckett is not a master of accents and so it slips every now and then making it real. However we know Stana does a flawless Russian accent in The Closer episode, during a very dramatic and emotional scene as the character recounts her abuse from her sponsor. It was a very moving scene and beautifully played. It’s the little things, the attention to detail, that makes her so appealing as a performer.
She is like a box of chocolates you never know what you’re going to get, but you know it’s going to be good.

Offlinesince I cannot stand Chocolete gonna ignore that last statement! Lol but I agree totally on the different person thing. There are times where you can see a face that she has made at one point in another role but in the role she is currently playing that facial expression means an entirely different thing. Didn't finish Stilletto, I started it a long time ago and I am a complete Stana freak but I don't tollerate that much language in a movie. Of course what I saw of her was amazing as always! She has always delievered every line flawlessly in the way needed for the Character she is portraying. It is my dream to meet her someday. Just to talk to her. You know with speaking many different languages…7 I believe, comes a great deal of intelligence and that is one thing that isn't found offen in big stars but maybe that is one thing that makes her so great…she isn't a big star and she obviously is acting for the love of it because with her talents she could make so much more money on other things…ah my cat is sick will have to finish later!

Offlinenalissa2 – well said! or written… the fact that her characters are so different, shows that she is indeed acting, not just being a slight variation of herself.
I really like Beckett. And that implies that I also like Stana to a certain extent, never having really met her. Why?
I'm not an actress, so I really don't know anything about this, but I've got the impression that some of the real person's qualities will show through in the character they play, and in the kind of roles they choose to play (to the extent they can choose). After seeing Stana in Castle, I checked out some of her previous roles, and they are mostly strong independent women. With a lot of female roles out there just being about "catching the guy", her roles have had an independent agenda. This is what I want to see on tv. I believe there are more to life than getting hitched (allthough that is a part of life too, and I'm a sucker for good romcoms, but it's not everything).
My prior tv obsession was Xena Warrior Princess, also a show with a strong independent woman, lots of action and humour, a troubled past and a quest for redemtion. Not much about getting a guy, but about working for the greater good.
Castle is a show with a strong pair of leading characters, a man and a woman on equal footing, lots of action and humour, a troubled past and a quest for good stories/justice/closure. Beckett's primary goal isn't getting Castle, but working to catch killers and bringing closure to victims' families.
So I think Stana brings her strength and integrity to the role. And some of her antics (biting lips, rising eyebrow), which we've also seen in other roles and in interviews. From interviews Stana comes across as funny and happy, knowing how to tell a good story and flip a knife. Which shows how much of Beckett (and her other roles) is pure acting.

That's something I wouldn't have thought of. I was a fan of Xena Warrior Princess as well because Xena was such a strong independent woman. And I definately agree that Beckett brings it with her strength and integrity as well.
So that was a good point you made which is probably another reason why I really like Stana.

Ditto on what you said…I said it before not on this thread but another one on her…I think she plays the type of women she plays because that is an element of herself she is not willing to give up even for wealth and fame. That is another reason why I don't think she is that big, she doesn't go for roles that will get her money or fame, she goes for roles that accent the best of her. I am all for women independence, and I think the song "Why" by Reba is a great song to show how she and other strong women feel (it's the way I feel). The song talks about being able to do things for yourself (open the door, pay the bills, live, ect) without a man, but if you have one why would you. It pretty much shows that love isn't everything in life but when you find it you see that even tho u can live without it, you don't want to. When we actually get to the point of them being together I plan to make a video of them to this song. As you can see from my extesnsve talking about her other roles I am a pre-Castle Stana fan. Actually she is the reason I started watching in the first place. I saw that she was in this new show that was fixing to aire on TV so I decided to watch it. Of course I loved it more than just because she was on it, tho that is a big part of why I love it! OK so I feel like I am doing this
haha to me it's not just babbling because it is about Stana but I tend to go over board…sorry about the essay…haha!

Don't know where this would fit in in the forum, so I'm just gonna post it here.
Random Question: I was looking at the bio of Stana here and it says she's born in 1980 (??), but then on IMDB, it says she's born in 1978…anybody have any thoughts on that??
1978. And we've had this discussion here: http://castletv.net/forums/cas…..e-2#p10421 – read the two latest posts by rvandising on the subject.

I personally wont read up on any of that stuff online I feel that it is an invasion of privacy…and plus you never know what is correct and what isn't. However if she writes or indorces a biography I will gladly read it. I feel that if she wants us to know she will tell us.

Farscapefan: Thanks for that. Seems 1978 is right. It caught my eye today, just thought I'd ask.
Caskett-Beckle: I agree with you, wholeheartedly. I love biographies and I certainly hope she writes one!!
