She's rocking the hair! I can't imagine that she grew it out just so she could cut it off. I bet we see her with long locks this season. But being a cop it's going to be up or back when she's at work, I would imagine.

oh, it's the ozzy-or-something-dress?!! That interview was hilarious! And she did say she was interested in archeology, so I guess she had fun at the exhibit too.

I'm thinking this way, too.
I did like Beckett's season 1 hair…and a shorter style is probably more job-friendly for a cop, but it seems they were headed in this direction toward the end of season 2 with Stana growing it out. I really loved the "Overkill" look…I know many didn't and Doz is right…probably too much like Lanie. The long hair does give a lot of great options when there are opportunities for dressing up on the show. Super long, loose, and wavy might be a bit "girly" for day to day on the job as halaci said, so I imagine they'd put it up a lot.

I feel more passionately about Castle's hair.. I don't know why they decided to make it darker.. weird.. I prefer his hair dark blonde/ light brown..
LOL….I hated that mullet too. It aged her and….it was just wrong.
I'm kind of a hair enthusiast and I'm not sure all of that hair is hers. I believe it may be an extension. Anyways, if there is a vote I submit the shorter edgier look is my favorite.

Yeah Van, I wondered if they were extensions too… they look good.. and the colour is gorgeous!

What a fun exhibit!! I bet she loved getting to attend that.
I love her hair shorter also btw…S1 style (more like towards the end when it was flipped out) and then after the 'mullet' style in S2 – I've liked it including the cute wavy style at the end. I just don't see it staying the current length she has it for the next season…but one never knows. (there is no way that is all her own hair cuz that means it grew 5 inches in like a month or two..her hair seems to grow quickly, but not that quickly! lol) She's lucky though in that she can certainly get away with just about any style and look good.
Can't wait to see what they do for the new season! lol It really is funny how we bring up the topic of her hair so often.

Thanks for sharing, Jamz! She and Alex Trebek seem to be the only ones with a more academic interest in seeing those mummies, judging from those interviews. Of course, to be fair, they didn't really show all the interviews conducted, and those shown were edited to print-ready blurbs. I also did like Virginia Madsen's observation about how well they were preserved.
Did anyone notice how they bookended the clip with Stana?
