no. no names on the elephants…
here's where they come from… i have a group of friends from chile who said that it is a part of the custom in their part of chile to arrange elephant figurines in a row with a folded $ bill in the first one's trunk to bring in good luck and fortune..
i always think of beckett as well-travelled… and if she's not well-travelled, she's curious about other cultures and customs… i figured adding that to the table would be a great way of personalizing my character's work space…

Does anyone have more info about the above? The last bit of info I knew about was that MGM was in financial trouble and looking for a buyer, which meant production of the next James Bond movie was suspended indefintely… but from what Stana is saying above, that dosen't seem to be the case?

I don't know why this just occured to me but she is Canadian in real life acting as someone who works for Canadian Intelligence… very fitting

 

 

You know, if Beckett/Stana is looking for a gay BFF, and if recent gossip about Daniel Craig being gay is true… Hey, he must be looking for work since MGM has the James Bond thing on ice because of their financial woes? Just a thought Tongue

I totally think the gay BFF idea is just totally off.  I know Stana would love more backstory, but a large part of her persona is "married to the job" .  The gay bff would throw off the entire Castle/Beckett chemistry.  Part of Castle's appeal is that he IS fun and she doesn't have a lot of fun, remember? Well, if she had a gay bff, she WOULD have a lot of fun (gay bff's are always portrayed as fun!)  – So if she has lots of fun with gay bff, she wouldn't need Castle. Heck, Castle's brand of humor may just be annoying at that point (because he can be) and b/c her fun meter has already been filled.  Know what I'm saying? 

Love, love Stana but I just had to get that off my chest.  Thank you. smile

i've had a lot of questions about that… so, that was a gift from the
producers.. i got after we finished photography…

the only story is that i love the ring…

it was integral in finding the character… the costumer on the librarian and i
were trying to figure out wardrobe for simone… and after a point, we just
went shopping together… the moment we found that ring, the whole character
came together..

it might sound silly and actor-y… but it's the truth… we found that ring
and we both started speaking the same language about who that character was…
what qualities she had, etc.

there's a coat that i found with the original costumer on castle that did the
same thing…
