Like so many others have said, thanks for posting and translating this article. I love that Stana likes Columbo – that show reminds me of Castle in some ways, because the main character wasn't perfect, or at least he didn't seem like it. It was so funny when Columbo would act like he was leaving an interview with someone, then turn around and nail them with one question.
And what is she saying about Beckett looking for a boyfriend?! Was this interview done before Trucco came on the show or recently since the finale aired? No more boyfriends Beckett! Save our sanity!

The magazine was published on May 6th 2010, they mention that the interview was done in LA but they don't say when.
I agree with you, no more boyfriend, except Castle . :innocent:

She looked really good in that one fight scene. Imagine if she wasn't holding back.
We all know about those sparing sessions with Demming when he first shows up. I don't think that she was talking about holding back in those scenes.
Other "Fights" she has been in include….
- the paper delivery "boy" from "The Third Man" – she ran him down and manhandled him pretty good
- The Russian in "Deep In Death" - once again grabbing an arm and twisting it into a pretzel while slamming the guy into a table
- In "Boom" when she goes after the Scott Dunn in the warehouse - that's a pretty good fight
in any of these scenes she COULD seriously hurt someone if she wasn't holding back.

OfflineInteresting interview. Thanks for posting and translating. I agree with this part completely: "I would like people to learn more about her private life, her relationship with her father since her mother's murder and the outcome of this investigation. She's a really interesting character and I'm happy that we catch a brief glimpse of what happens under the surface."

Watching Love Me Dead, I was wondering how Beckett manage to slam that locksmith into the bar. It seems authentic and she didn't even used a manuevering technic to do so. She manhandled that guy like a martial artist. Now I know….

Let's also not forget the infamous Beckett Death Pinch that she uses on Castle's nose and ear… those can be pretty deadly too

When I first saw that when the episode aired, I was totally cheering for her to catch him! Many of us in the chat room were, as I recall. My girl-crush was also off and running! I also loved her hopping the subway station turnstile. She must be a great athlete for her to be able to do all those scenes in disparate places as if it was one long chase. This was the only screencap I was able to get of that chase, if anyone is interested:

found a pic of her jumping the turnstile..but you can see she really WAS quick ..

and more of the chase scene…where she looked so stunning considering she was running around so fast
