Anybody ever meet someone named Stana?  Not me.  I'm surprised it's not more popular.  It's a cool name.  If you scramble the letters, it spells Santa.    Santa is awesome.

I have a confession to make.  The first couple of times I heard the promos for Castle, before the series started, I heard "Starring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic" and I thought – "What the heck?  What kinds of names are those?"  Just had never heard of either the first or last name for Stana and had never heard of a last name of Fillion.  I admit I wasn't familiar with either of their careers, so they were completely new to me.  They are not typical names for actors – but it seems more and more these days celebs are keeping their own names instead of making them "ordinary" like they did in the past.  Once I watched the show, I was hooked and now I couldn't care less what their names are – they're among my favorite actors and it's interesting to hear where Stana's name, in particular, came from. 

To: Stana, From: Santa.  God bless her mom.  After a few glasses of wine, I would totally eff that up.

Ohmigosh! Thank you so much for posting that! I had seen the promo for that a few months ago but couldn't remember the name to save my life. I've been trying to find it but wasn't having any luck with it. You rock Thecastlefan.

LOL To the person who mentioned "Satan" having the same letters, she stated in an interview (I think it was Jimmy Kimmel??) that one time she was going to the studio lot and gave her name and the badge they gave her had her name as "Satan Katic". Whoops!

I think when they do release "The Bannen Way" they will reach their target audience, men 18-35.

My name isn't all that different but you rarely hear it for a female. I was getting on a ski lift the other day and this guy was looking at my season pass and goes, "How do you say your name?" Trust me, you say it the way it looks. I get comments like that a lot. I also get, "So… is that short for something?" I feel for Stana. Correcting people or having to reply every time someone says, "So… that is unqiue. Where did that come from?" gets old so quickly.

gosh, i know that feeling.  it would be a miracle if someone heard my name and didn't comment on it.
