full of family and friends packed to watch the private screening…
and, you know, i worked in it, so i was looking at something different
than everyone else.. it was neat to see how many girls and guys related
to the type of love story we were telling.. i mean, there was no easy
answer or neatly packaged ending… and i think a lot of people could
relate to that…
i thought it was such a beautiful film… told in a
veeeery french new wave style… great music.. the boys are really into
music.. we even have a john lennon song 'love' in it… it was stunning
to hear the movie backed by his voice…
it's a postcard to love, you know… in paris…
i loved making it.. i hope people enjoy joining us on its ride…"

styling for award shows and events—

clothing's a creative expression for me… based on a mood, feeling, place… so, deciding what to wear usually is just something that 'feels right' in the moment… for instance, i designed the dress i wore to the 'feast of love' premiere… i had just returned from a trip to turkey and was struck by the sound made by the women who were covered in these long flowing full black robes… there was a fullness and thickness to the sound… in any case… i can't quite find the word, but i wanted that sort of draping, full material feeling in what i was going to wear for the carpet, and that's what we came up with…i mean, sometimes it's a painting… a photo… or just a "i want to feel cozy and quiet"…

if i could play a character in a lit or movie adaptation—
