Was watching Binary Explosion from The Unit, in the scene where the team, along with Stana's character closed in to take down the bad guys. The team leader says to her: Stay in the car. To which she says Try me, or words to that effect. (It was her collar, after all.) Looks like a role reversal of season 1 episodes where Beckett tells Castle to stay in the car. In addition, Stana's character in her uniform looked so much like her role in Castle that it could have been almost her screen test for the Beckett role in Castle IMHO. Of course she has extended and fleshed out her character in her current role in so many way!

I'm working here until a good fast food job opens up!

Yeah, I think this role was the closest to Beckett, maybe it was on her producers reel or something, it really shows that she can be the pretty and tough person at the same time.

I have it taped but haven't had a chance to sit down and watch it. Since most of you say it's the closest comparison to Beckett I wonder if I'll look for that now. I haven't thought about Beckett when I've watched her other stuff. Should be interesting.

Her part was quite Beckett-esque, except her hairstyle was quite distracting.  Weird length.  But there are definitely vestiges of Beckett in there.  It would have made a good audition tape, along with The Librarian 3, which showed her comedic side and her ability to create priceless facial expressions.

musiclover's right, search for

the unit binary explosion

on youtube and you'll get several clips from the episode, low quality, and centered on the scenes of another actor, but you get glimpses of Beckett… no I mean Special Agent Deborah Lane.

I wish I knew how to quit you.
