OfflineShe just seems genuinely nice and intelligent. Far too many actresses do interviews and just sound so uneducated. Stana is so well spoken and she seems well versed in quite a few subjects. Hollywood would be a better place with more like her.

OfflineDuring her interviews that I have seen so far, she sounds like a down to earth person. She seems to bring an old style how to be an actres which I like so much. I mean that a good character is important and not just good special effects in a show.
I believe both Nathan and Stana are similar in that way, which is why the chemistry is so good.

OfflineI love how easily she can slip into a character and really portray each character differently from the one before it. I haven't come across two of her roles that I've noticed a similarity to each other. Her personality is fun and upbeat. Stana is always wearing a megawatt smile. And as another factor of why I love her so much, she is the oldest in a large family. Growing up in a larger family [than normal] gives a person a different aspect on life.

Offline1. Easy…she makes the best faces!! She is very expressive when she acts which is a great trait for an actor/actress to have. It's really a must and she has that.
2. I watched Stiletto. Hated that movie…loved her performance. I didn't know that could be possible but it's true. I don't like wathcing people get killed so my eyes were covered alot. I found out that kill'em/shoot'em up movies are not my cup of tea. But that tells you a lot about an actor/actress when they were one of the best things about a movie you did not like so much.
3. She just seems like a fun person. From the interviews i have seen she seems to like to laugh a lot, which is fun for me b/c laughter is contagious and i love to laugh. She seems like the right mix of seriousness and light heartedness.

OfflineThis is a somewhat easy question if you were/are already a Stana fan before Castle. WE LOVE HER. If I had to pick only one as requested - it's how she expresses in multiple ways without even saying a word – I won't list them, we know them – she gets even better in every performace.
I highly agree that all the characters she has played are NOT necessarily my cup of tea (sweet ice tea please), she puts everything she has into each of them. I didn't know her name the first few times I saw her but definately remembered/learned her name in 24, then Heroes.. The other day I was at my mom's house and she was watching a rerun of the Closer and there is Stana (my mom thought somethin' was wrong..I forgot she was in it.. and gasped with glee he he) Then came several movies in a row and my "fan-ship" grew. I saw her in and kinda laughed through the whole Librarian movie – and remembered thinking she is really stunning and she even sings with a French accent too, really sings beautifully – what a bonus. I loved the last scene even though Simone is now pixie dust..
With Stiletto I thought of bruises and pain the whole time but learned a few new tricks with lipstick, tire irons and knives. Spirit was unique but Stana won the best smiling award – looked like a lot of fun to her. Oh, and Quantum (own them all). My favorite so far is as "Beckett"- I can see Stana in her (as stated above from the interviews seen/read about her). Everyone is hung up about her hair though.. mine drives me crazy EVERY day - I can't image multple angled scenes etc to try to be the same, [filtered] – then for the world to say – cut it, grow it, soften it, color it, aaahhh enough!
While I firmly believe her "star" has taken flight and soaring now with Beckett, I like learning/hearing what other performaces she has already sitting in the wings. Of course, I'm a committed "Castleholic" and refuse treatment, I sincerely hope Beckett continues to grow in popularity and we have many seasons learning more about her next layer (peeling). Personally, I think Stana is ready for even more advanced characters where she can show us even more. Stana is a pleasant suprise from the world of TV/Movies and I look forward to her future performances.. Sorry this was an essay.. he he

OfflineGood bloody question, nalissa2.
I find it's her versatility, for one. You go from her playing the driven killer in Stiletto, to the somewhat ditzy city cop Morgenstern. You have one of her initial roles, Jenny in Feast of Love, where she plays a lesbian…- *faints*. And you have Beckett, who, as mentioned, reflects a lot of Stana's own qualities.
Plus, she has this sort of rare, refined beauty. Like it's not obnoxious, but her features are hard to miss regardless of her hair, what she's wearing, or how she's made up. I love that. It shows through a lot in her smile and laugh.
Stanatic much? Meheh. She's the only celebrity crush I've ever had.

OfflineI love Stana's smile most of all. It seems to light up the TV screen everytime it is shown! I hope to see her smile more in Castle in the near future. Just her smile can make anything worth watching, no she doesn't have to smile and it's still worth watching…but it makes it so much better when she does smile! That small freckle under her left eye is very defining, and when she bites her lip is character trait that carries into everything she does. It has been in everything I have seen her in. It is something very subtle but cool if you notice it. It has been in Castle many times. Usually when she knows he is right about something lol! The way she can play anything, and look great doing it. She goes from a bouncy rookie cop from New Jersy (Morganstern in The Spirit, she is hilarious in that movie if you haven't seen it watch it before doing anything else!) that stares and a superhero all day, writes a book in text messages, talking louder than nessisarry, and making long speechs out of everything…where 2 to 3 words would sufise she would use an entire pharagraph. Though it was a small role, it made the movie for me. She played the role perfectly and when she was on screen I usually didn't notice anythng else. I have just about memorized her entire role….I don't think she ever quit smiling in that movie…maybe once or twice, and it was radient making her the center of attention. For me atleast. Her lines where delivered with perfection in a New Jersy accent that would make you laugh even if the line she said wasn't funny. Most of what she said wasn't funny if it was said by someone else. Her delivery made it funny. To the eligant French vampire (Simone in The Librarian The Curse of the Judas Chalice). As Simone she was funny, playful, and loving but at the same time serious and protective. Her lines were delivered perfectly in a flawless French accent that only added to her elegance. In this movie was the first time I saw her. I loved her from the moment I saw her and thought she was amazing. Then I learnt more about her and loved her even more! She is exquisit! Most of all I love her as Detective Kate Beckett, she is serious most of the time, expecially during a case, but also has a playful side to her that Castle seems to bring out. Just goes to show another side of Stana's amazing acting ablity! I love the way she walks. Regally and directed. Like she knows where is headed and is going to get there no matter what it takes. She seems to usually play strong women, I wonder if it might be a testiment of her character. I think she takes those roles because she feels comfortable in them cause she is like them. She seems to be a well rounded actress who can play all types of different elements and pull them off perfectly. To me atleast she is the topping that makes anything perfect! Stana is a on-of-a-kind actress who has gripped me from the begining and I hope to see her career blossem! I could go on forever but got things to do people to see…if you read all this babbling cuddos to you! One more thing STANA IS UM-MAZING!!! If you don't get that like I said ealier watch Spirit!

OfflineHer versatility is what amazes me. Even if the movie isn't so good she's always knocking her performance out of the park. She expresses so much in a look that words are not always needed.
I'm just drawn to her. Even if she's not speaking and she's more in the background I'm watching to see how she reacts.
I love her interviews. She's not just there promoting her product but is really engaged in the discussion.
That smile and beauty is nice but it's the entire package that she displays.

The things that make stana katic so likeable are the things that most actresses lack. most actresses lack the ability to laugh at themselves i think, and she has that smalltown politeness that i've seen in her interviews. and it doesn't feel like an act.
other things that i like about stana katic is she's funny, intellegent, a good role model, poloite, a great actress and she seems really down to earth.

Offlinei'm gonna echo most of the responses here…i like her because she makes a horrible movie worth watching
" /> haha. i basically fast forwarded all through out stiletto and watched only her parts, and she looked just STUNNING in those parts.
i also adore her mannerisms, like her lip biting, as yall have said
" /> and she also does this sometimes:
http://stana-katic.com/gallery…..mp;pos=430 which is super cute
" /> i've seen her do it in castle and in would be kings
" />
and her facial expressions are just..AWESOME. so awesome that i find myself imitating it. haha.
and she's the reason i'm obsessing over watching castle
" /> before castle, i haven't watched any of her appearances, but after watching castle i was instantly intrigued by her and started researching about her and watching every show she appeared in
" /> other than her on Castle, i really loved her ER, 24 & CSI Miami. She acts so naturally that she can make you feel the emotion that she's portraying.
