i also love how genuine she seems to be in interviews.  she's not some airhead who just spouts off the first thing that comes to her mind.  she has intelligent answers and yet still manages to bring a fun loving attitude with these smart answers.  she's also super funny.

First off welcome! and second don't worry about novel till you see my post haha! It was a novel or as the ppl in chat called it an "essay on all things Stana" haha tho I didnt mention alot of her roles mostly because it was late and I was tired haha you should check out the Stana quotes post…it's mine btw but by far my favorite post!

I think the reason she has intelligent answers is because she really is inteligent she clearly acts for the fun of it because she could make so much more money doing other things because of her inteligence. She speaks 7 languages fluently and that alone could make her more money than she probably makes in acting. Tho it is a true talent that she has, I really enjoy her tweets now that it seems that she has taken over doing them herself. She seems so "normal" I love it and would love the opportunity just to sit and talk to her one day….and possibly get my copy of Castle season 1, Heat wave, Spirit, Alias, Librarian 3, Quantum of Solace….(see a pattern here? haha) lets just say her hand would cramp after signing all the things I have involving her!

She is by far the best actress I have ever seen and could hope to see, if there is a word that could discribe her I can't find it and I'm a writter haha. Well I have babbled enough  needless to say…I love Stana!

hehe.  see, this why i joined this forum so that i could geek out about all things stana and not be given strange looks.  :)

i was a fan of stana's before castle, and as you said above, the fact that she has this repertoire of skills and chose to be an actress just deeply impressed me.  i think it's so refreshing to have someone intelligent and talented in the acting world, because there are so many out there where luck was clearly the only factor, and it's just not the case for her.  you can tell that it was luck, talent, and extremely hard work.

Ditto on the fan before Castle…I saw her once and had to see more! I like her alot because she is intelligent enough to say what she needs to say without being vulger like alot of actors are…I know she most likely cusses but I haven't ever heard any of it in an of her interviews or her tweets while Nathan's had it all over em…which is why I don't follow him anymore. I seem to be comparing her to Nathan alot…it's not that I have something against him its more or less they are in the same show so makes a good example.

Before Castle, I wasn't aware of Stana. I had seen her in various TV roles before, but never realized it was her. After I seen Castle I read up a lot on Stana (I had already known Nathan from Desperate Housewives). I realized she was in Brothers & Sisters, and popped in the episode just to see her. I watched many of her movies, only because she was in them. Along with many YouTube clips of her on various show, and interviews, etc.

I mean seriously!? Besides her obvious outer beauty she just seems like such a down-to-earth person. She has a sense of innocence to her. She said during Paley that she hadn't really had fans before. So, I'm sure the fan support is pretty new to her and probably overwhelming (at times). I noticed that during Paley she seemed very quiet. Not 'bored' or 'cold', as some people have mentioned on other forums, but shy and like she didn't want to be in the spotlight. She’s so gracious, humble, and also very well spoken. It's obvious that she didn't get into acting for the fame and the fortune, but for the fact that she enjoys it so much.

Stana is able to tackle any role thrown her way.  She is so versatile and there isn’t enough time to state all the reasons why I adore her. She’s a huge breath of fresh air in Hollywood, and I wish there were more like her. Stana is one of the very few actress in Hollywood that I will watch movies/shows just because she is in them. She has a rare 'realness' quality about her that many actress/actors lack. She's going to be around for a long time and I look foreward to seeing her in her next roll. Though, I hope Castle never ends! :)

Humm, that's a hard one. I mean, I personally think she would be able to. But in a sense, where she wasn't as well known when Castle started, I'm not sure that a show where she was the only lead would have gotten that much publicity. Like a lot of people have already stated here (or on other forums) that most people only watched the show because of Nathan. However, then they discovered the talent that Stana has.

So I think that if she had her own tv series, (like before Castle aired) it wouldn't get the popularity it deserved, for that reason. But with that being said, I think that once Castle wraps its series finale (and I pray that's a long, long ways down the road), her fanbase will be even larger than it is now. So, if she did a tv series after Castle finished, I think that she would be able to carry the show, because of the popularity she gained from Castle.

Thats my two cents anyway! :)

Honestly, I wasn't all that familiar with Fillion either. I checked out the show simply because I found the plot for the pilot interesting- a mystery writer whose "crime scenes" are being used by a serial killer, or so it appears to be, and consults with the police to give them insight into the real crimes committed. I read a lot of mystery/suspense novels, so I thought, "hey, this is right up my alley." Only when I saw the show did I realize that the actor who plays Castle is the same guy who played the doctor in the film "Waitress." I also didn't realize that he was in Buffy until people pointed it out. I watched that show faithfully; it's my first tv show obsession ever. How could I have been so clueless?! It wasn't until I did a little research that I found out that he was that creepy priest in season 7, the same one who took out one of the main character's eye.

As for Stana, I had absolutely no clue who she was. Again, it wasn't until later after some people pointed out some of the shows she appeared on did I realize that I had already seen her. But since I haven't really seen any show where she was featured prominently, I didn't remember her at all.

As for whether she can carry her own show? I agree with ShutTheFrontDoor! on this one. Before Castle, she's relatively unknown. While networks have cast fresh faces on new shows, they're usually paired with more familiar names.

I know stana before castle..press talk a lot of her for James bond because they film some scenes of the movie in my city in Italy,but she become popular with castle..she's incredibly talented but be popular is another thing..and she is thanks to castle

Like others, i wasnt familiar with Stana either until I saw the Castle promo in the Phil. aired in star world. I search her in the web, watched a couple of her interviews and now I'm hooked.

She is simple yet elegant, smart and sophisticated.  Her facial expressions are to die for.  Her laugh is infectious.  Very down to earth.  I can go on and on and on….

Well somebody above some it up…."What's not to like about her".

 

there's a lot of her to like. you know what, the filipino stanatics should all meet up. i dont know anyone who is into Castle or Stana as i am. see you around the boards
