i'm gonna echo most of the responses here…i like her because she makes a horrible movie worth watching
" /> haha. i basically fast forwarded all through out stiletto and watched only her parts, and she looked just STUNNING in those parts.
i also adore her mannerisms, like her lip biting, as yall have said
" /> and she also does this sometimes:
http://stana-katic.com/gallery…..mp;pos=430 which is super cute
" /> i've seen her do it in castle and in would be kings
" />
and her facial expressions are just..AWESOME. so awesome that i find myself imitating it. haha.
and she's the reason i'm obsessing over watching castle
" /> before castle, i haven't watched any of her appearances, but after watching castle i was instantly intrigued by her and started researching about her and watching every show she appeared in
" /> other than her on Castle, i really loved her ER, 24 & CSI Miami. She acts so naturally that she can make you feel the emotion that she's portraying.
" />
HAHA love that part! Cuz she sits up like "that hurt" haha then says "hi" haha and flynn faints and she just looks like "what's up with him?" It's so cool how she has some "lines" that aren't spoken where you know what she means be a certain look and you don't need dialoge.

She was just all out hilarious in that part! I love her as Morganstern in The Spirit too! That is her most hilarious role!

OfflineI think everyone has pretty much said what's so awesome abut Stana. Talented, smart, witty, beautiful, versatility as an actress, and well-rounded. (If I missed anything, feel free to add.)
I'd also like to say that I love when she does scenes with certain kinds of emotions: anger, sadness, she has this capacity to not give everything to the scene, yet it's extremely powerful in it's portrayal.
Example: Castle — when she tells Castle about her mom getting murdered.
CSI: Miami — when she admits to Horatio about killing the star quarterback and about her son.
The Closer — when she tells Kyra Sedgwick's character about betraying the victim.
The emotion she does is so simple and precise that it, sometimes, makes you want to turn away. She has this ability to make the viewer want to wrap their arms around her and protect her from any harm.
That's talent you won't find just around the corner.
Go Stana!! We love you, dearly!!

Offlinewell, i'm new here and i thought it would certainly be appropriate for my very first post to be about the lovely stana.
as an alias fan that was the first role i ever saw her in, and it was brief, to say the least. it sort of became on those things where i would keep seeing the same person in all the shows i watched and started to take notice that this girl was versatile. from there i've seen just about everything she's ever done and can say with certainty that she is so expressive. i'm all about the subtle and stana is the queen of subtle but excellent expressions.
i have this rule that if i'm watching something and i don't want to be that character…then the actress isn't doing a good enough job. i think if you're a good enough actress you can draw your audience in and have themselves wishing they were your character no matter what the circumstances. for me, stana just has that something about her that no matter what character she's playing i can't help but be drawn in. that's a rare talent, in my opinion.
i also love how genuine she seems to be in interviews. she's not some airhead who just spouts off the first thing that comes to her mind. she has intelligent answers and yet still manages to bring a fun loving attitude with these smart answers. she's also super funny.
hehe, i should stop now before this turns into a novel.

HAHa yeah that part is hilarious! Tho I have memorized all her lines from that movie…my fav still remains to be "Sir I'm an excelent shot" then she demonstrates by blowing up the Oct. Tho the Electra Complex is by far the funnest to recite expecially to ppl who have never seen the movie and are like "what?" haha!

First off welcome! and second don't worry about novel till you see my post haha! It was a novel or as the ppl in chat called it an "essay on all things Stana" haha tho I didnt mention alot of her roles mostly because it was late and I was tired haha you should check out the Stana quotes post…it's mine btw but by far my favorite post!
I think the reason she has intelligent answers is because she really is inteligent she clearly acts for the fun of it because she could make so much more money doing other things because of her inteligence. She speaks 7 languages fluently and that alone could make her more money than she probably makes in acting. Tho it is a true talent that she has, I really enjoy her tweets now that it seems that she has taken over doing them herself. She seems so "normal" I love it and would love the opportunity just to sit and talk to her one day….and possibly get my copy of Castle season 1, Heat wave, Spirit, Alias, Librarian 3, Quantum of Solace….(see a pattern here? haha) lets just say her hand would cramp after signing all the things I have involving her!
She is by far the best actress I have ever seen and could hope to see, if there is a word that could discribe her I can't find it and I'm a writter haha. Well I have babbled enough
needless to say…I love Stana!

hehe. see, this why i joined this forum so that i could geek out about all things stana and not be given strange looks.
i was a fan of stana's before castle, and as you said above, the fact that she has this repertoire of skills and chose to be an actress just deeply impressed me. i think it's so refreshing to have someone intelligent and talented in the acting world, because there are so many out there where luck was clearly the only factor, and it's just not the case for her. you can tell that it was luck, talent, and extremely hard work.

HAHA no strange looks here I'm really bad haha!
Ditto on the fan before Castle…I saw her once and had to see more! I like her alot because she is intelligent enough to say what she needs to say without being vulger like alot of actors are…I know she most likely cusses but I haven't ever heard any of it in an of her interviews or her tweets while Nathan's had it all over em…which is why I don't follow him anymore. I seem to be comparing her to Nathan alot…it's not that I have something against him its more or less they are in the same show so makes a good example.

OfflineI admit, I wasn't super aware of Stana's name before Castle. I had seen her in various TV roles, but nothing she starred in as I'm not really a movie person, but she has been one of those actresses who is intriguing. I think it is the chameleon (sp?) type quality she has. Many people seem to play the exact same role for the most part but hers seem quite varied. I don't really compare her to Nathan as they're two very different people who each bring so much to the table. I do think she has been underrated by news outlets, but I also believe that her star is on the rise.

OfflineHonestly, the first time I saw Castle, the chemistry between Nathan and Stana on screen just hooked me. And I just thought she was just so stunning. And as I watch more and more of Castle, she isn't just a pretty face. She is very good actress.
What i like most about Stana and I see this in all her interviews is that there's a certain shyness and innocence about her. She's very gracious and so feminine. I love how thoughtful she is with her words. When she's asked a question, she thinks before she opens her mouth. I love her laugh.
