Anyone else besides me remember Susan as Lenore on Another World?
I love her as Martha–very "Auntie Mame" character!

That sounds very familiar…maybe I have.

Another World was a WONDERFUL soap opera that aired here in the US from 1964-1999. I used to watch it when I was in college and was very upset when it got canceled. Anyway, I think they do have some episodes on Hulu, but I don't know how far back they go. I would love to see a clip of Susan on AW!

Yes, I remember her from Another World, and from Rich Man, Poor Man, too – anyone remember that? She's fantastic. Had the pleasure of seeing her in a play here in So Ca at Garry Marshall's theatre last year – playing a character that was very much like Martha, in fact I wonder if any of the writers of the show saw her in that play and thought of her for the Martha role. Interviewed her afterwards with my partner for his column in a newspaper – she's really very nice. I'm trying to persuade the editor of a magazine I write for to let me do an interview with Susan. Editor has the magazine filled for the rest of the year but told me to get back to her next Jan. Susan and I had corresponded by e-mail and she was ready to go – I feel so badly about not doing the interview. Have to find another magazine – I'd love to do the story and then be able to tell everyone about it.

I'm too young to have seen AW but I do remember Susan from Dharma and Greg. She was hilarious on that show! Her character there was very similar to Martha, with the one exception that Martha isn't as harsh as Kitty Montgomery was.

I sort of remember Rich Man, Poor Man – whom she played in it? It's now released on DVD here in Poland, I guess I'm going to spend some money…

It has been a long time ago so I don't remember all the details, except that Susan Sullivan had a major role, as the love interest, I believe, of Peter Strauss, another great actor and he sadly isn't doing too much these days. Rich Man, Poor Man was one of the earlier miniseries and is well worth seeing, in my opinion. Also features a young Nick Nolte.

Ha! Yes! Totally! Forgot about Mona, but now that you mention it… they're quite similar characters! Kinda funny since Alyssa Milano was in one of the upcoming episodes of Castle :)
