I would like to ask a question. I happened to notice that there have been two references to the hulk in the Castle series and I was wondering if there was a particular reason for them? You were in the pilot episode and that was what you were watching on TV in one episode, then there was a green t-shirt reference.

I believe it was just a Susan Sullivan plug, because Susan Sullivan played in the incredible hulk movie and tv series (1977-1978). So she's actually watching herself on film. At least that's what I took from it.

She played Hulk's lover in the movie, and yes she looked at herself in the episode, that's why Castle asked something like "are you looking at your old fiancé". A typical Castle-mashup of the fictional lives of the fictional characters, these are great!

I think it was in Sucker Punch that Castle caught Martha watching a clip of herself in The Incredible Hulk. I really like how the writers and producers incorporate those little Easter eggs of the cast's previous work into episodes.

I agree.
The writers could also to incorporate scenes of her job for 8 years as Maggie Gioberti on Falcon Crest. In my opinion her job on the show, was unique..
The story of love and the special relationship between Maggie and Richard (Susan Sullivan and David Selby) which story grew up step by step through 5 seasons, is the story most beautiful among all the soap of the time. They were a very special couple. They had a special chemistry together, that once finished the series (of the worst way possible), no one took advantage.
