I'm eager to see what this Castle/Lanie interaction is going to be, because I'm fairly confident it's not going to be anything that even approaches sex/relationship or the like, but I'd love to see them talk a bit more, to become friends.

And I think the Lanie/Esposito stuff could be a huge amount of fun, if the writers approach it as I hope they will.

The stuff about Castle and Beckett kissing, or almost kissing? I think it's a given this season, but Tamala sure does like to tease the fans, doesn't she?

has talked about this Castle/Beckett kiss or almost kiss.  I certainly hope it's the former.  I don't mind it being interrupted, but I'd love to see some real pay-off for riding out the upcoming secondary love interest story lines even if they backtrack a bit from it.

As far as Lanie and Castle getting closer, perhaps this is due to an interest Alexis has in forensics as previously mentioned in interviews or perhaps it is due to Castle being the first to know about Lanie and Esposito's relationship.  I'm interested to see how this plays out.

I think the "interaction" will come from the fact as BFF she could be the source (and maybe an ally?) if Castle would want to know Top Secret info about Josh/Kate.

Thanks for posting that Leftfield.  Lots of interesting stuff.  That's the first allusion to a Castle/Beckett kiss that I've read about this season.  Yay!  A light at the end of the tunnel!  As dmcw said, it would be great payoff for all of us putting up with Schlemming and now biker boy. 

As for how Castle & Lanie get closer, to quote Beckett from an episode last season, "I got nothing."
