We need more Lainie. We've heard a lot on interviews Stana pleading that Beckett has a wild side, but the one I would truly believe that is Lainie. And the funny thing is she probably wouldn't consider it being 'wild', like when she mentioned her dislike for bathing in caramel, you could believe she was being serious.
I would like more Perlmutter as well though. Does that make me a turncoat?
Tamala should take advantage of the fact that the show doesn't require her for more than two or three days out of eight and try to squeeze herself into other projects. In fact, I could very well see a show built around her snappy persona. I would watch it.

Perlmutter has his own unique charm. I like him, but in small doses.

I like how Tamala stated she keeps herself younger mentally and just likes to have fun. I can really see Lanie having a wild side. I'm not sure about that working completely for Beckett. I can see Beckett being more relaxed outside of work and into fun activities, but not doing anything way outside the box. I hope we get to see much more fun from Lanie this upcoming season.

Yea Right!!!
Just watch The Third Man again (it's up on Hulu for a few more days). She tells Lanie that she has not life (correct) and needs a date (yup – there have NOT been ANY dates for Beckett up through this episode in season 1 or 2. Then at the end of the episode she wants to go home to a nice warm bath (as is usual for her – I assume).
Madison told us that Beckett HAD a wild side – that was in the past. In seasons 1 & 2 she gave us no indication that she had a "wild side" except through her empty words.
Ah, but this thread is about Tamala / Lanie. I understand that she had an intense role in last Christmas's move with George Clooney. I haven't seen it yet (going to – it's in the Netflix queue). I am looking forward to seeing her in many future shows – she's talented and a cutie too.

hm i'm going to give beckett the benefit of the doubt, because i don't think lanie would have a close friend who is dull and boring. and lanie did warn castle not to go against beckett in a drinking contest 
there is the occasional mention that things go crazy behind the scenes when tamala and nathan get too close to each other 
… the incident with the stormtrooper helmet for example….i wish they would share with us
