I apologize if this has been discussed before.  I did a search and didnt find anything.

 

Anyone have any goofs they have noticed in episodes?  I think they are fun to find as long as they are subtle and dont take away from the episode by being glaring mistakes.

 

For example:

In 3XK Beckett describes Marcus Gates as "42yrs old, 6ft tall and 185lbs".

The "Wanted poster" over her shoulder has his description as 6'2" 195lbs and 45yrs old (Poster says "Current Age: 45" Born 07/08/65)

 

There is also another episode that I need to find again where Beckett's watch is stopped at 7:20 and 15seconds throughout the entire episode.

Also from Punked:

The dueling pistols were clearly smooth-bore flintlocks (so far, OK) shooting patched lead ball (also OK), but patched balls cannot be matched to ANY firearm, as the patch prevents the ball from contacting the gun's barrel (which has no rifling anyway).

During the firing range sequence (which was hilarious), there should have been an occasional hit, not all total misses. Inaccurate weapons will still sometimes hit the target.

Also during the same sequence, flintlocks do not fire the instant the trigger is pulled, they go "strike, flash …. bang" (I know – it was time compressed for the viewers' benefit)

Couple of "oops" mentioned in prior threads

I believe it was in "Food To Die For" that Castle and Alexis finished tying his tie a couple of times

Another one From "Punked" at the end of the episode as Castle is returning home, Alexis is sitting on the couch with her laptop and you can clearly see the microphone and boom to record her dialog.

 

And in interest in "Full Disclosure" I did not find any of these goofs on my own, only through other peoples observations.

In Sucker Punch, Beckett is called in to Captain Montgomery's office and in shot 1 we are looking at Stana' behind, er I mean we are looking at Captain Montgomery from behind Beckett, he gives her a flask, she opens and takes a drink. In shot 2 we are looking at Beckett from Montgomery's point of view and she's still unscrewing the flask and takes a drink.

Gotta be the flash in order to open and drink and close and open and drink in that short of a timespan

maybe she changed the position of her hand between the first scene and the second: the room where kate drags castle isnt supposed to be near.

It's called a continuity error and it drives filmmakers and TV show directors crazy!  What reason would she have to move her hand to a different arm other than Stana forgot which arm she grabbed when they shot her and Nathan entering the conference room?

One of the most famous of these, and forgive me for getting away from Castle, is in the movie Moonstruck when Cher is sitting at a table with a glass of water on the table.  Every time the camera cuts away from her to someone else and back, the water level in the glass is different!
